Counting down to my Wyoming antelope hunt with Hunting with Heroes in Riverton, WY.. Looking forward to my first ever guided hunt, going to be interesting not having to scout or wonder if I’m going to the right area. All I gotta do is hit what I’m aiming at, new rifle, new loads no pressure.
The $8200 is was up front money, cost is $800 annual fee plus lease payment based on number of animals put on lease. The envos want to have it changed from a grazing lease to a conservation lease. No information on whether or not hunting or fishing would be allowed if it was changed
Believe it or not, my wife and I deliberately allowed our credit card debt to get pretty high. We gave our granddaughters the opportunity to compete in the Toddlers and Tiaras pageants, lot of travel, lots of expenses but also lots of fun and learning experiences. When they stopped working hard...
I say go for it. The little one is about 2 years old the other is about 8 or 9 but has been going since he was a toddler. All my grandkids and daughters started as babies.
If you go to the Hammer Forum there is a ton of info available on loads, how to, etc. Also, it’s my understanding they are great about giving help on the phone too. I do know that the next time I’m in Kalispell I’ll be going into their shop.
In reality it’s not “will” a certain bullet work, it’s what your rifle shoots well. Put a round through the vitals a Mulie will go down. Cup&core or Mono doesn’t matter to them, only to the hunter due to regulation or preferences. After 60+yrs I decided to try non-lead, couldn’t get any to group...
It kinda depends, for rifle if it’s fairly open I’d say 1000yds or so depending on the terrain. Thick cover, assuming careful hunter not so much, careless hunter anywhere in the same state. Archery, couple hundred yards in most cases. I’ve been where there were people within a rock throw from me...
I’ve used the classifieds a few times and e-bay also. If I feel something is overpriced I scroll on, if it’s an obvious scam I’ll report it. I figure business is between buyer and seller, not my monkeys not my circus.
Drafted 1/68, AIT at Tigerland aka Ft. Polk. 6/68 off to off to VietNam for 12 months of education, got my degree in killing then back to the states. Wasted the last six months at Ft. Dix “training” National Guard weekend warriors. Got out 1/70 and still trying to put it all behind me. Hooah!
So true. My daughter worked a summer in guest services at the lodge. One afternoon she had a German couple ask her what time they turned the bears loose, she tried to explain that the bears roamed free and were wild, they couldn’t fathom the idea. Another guest a few days later complain a bear...
If it’s flaking it’s not safe to use. Since they did have problems between 2003 and 2007 with a recall you can contact the company, maybe you’ll get lucky an they’ll replace them. If they don’t, all your out is a phone call, either way I wouldn’t trust the ones you have.
