    Thanks for the replies. Do you have any recs for a lightweight barrel with the gas port? I'd like to avoid the large bill that Proof wants for their carbon. Wilson offers the arc in 18 inches (28.9 oz) $285. That seems like a pretty good value.

    Just go ultra light and run a single tarp. Your shelter weight will be almost nothing and you'll also be able to go down to one sleeping pad and one bag. Because you'll be cuddled up so tight you could probably make a 30 deg bag go down to xero with no problems. #picsoritdidnthappen
