A $20,000 diy moose hunt is 20,000 because it is most likely from an actual outfitter who has put in the time to scout a location and very specific big bulls in the area for you to hunt. It would likely include all your flights, a whole camp setup, a fairly detailed hunt plan, and flexible meat...

Wyoming Unit 99 Lost Binoculars
I am clearly a few fries short of a happy meal and somehow managed to leave a pair of Swaro’s off of a 2track road behind the Reed Dam walk-in access area…😭🔫 🤦🏻♂️
I glassed up a goat at last light in my binos and hurriedly got the spotter up to get a closer...
I’ve killed 2 bull elk with kudu contour+ 125’s. Both broadside double lung shots.
Both pass throughs.
Both died within 50 yards.
However, Neither of them bled a drop. And that makes me nervous to keep using them just for a future scenario with a less than perfect shot where a longer tracking...
Well I received my replacement bipod and all was fine and dandy until I took it on a 5 day spring bear hunt a couple weeks ago.
On day 4 I noticed one of the foot pegs was completely gone and on one of the legs the glue had broke free so it spins freely at the base so you have to use two hands...
This is at the bottom of their lifetime license description page. It says available to residents only but then in the sportsman package part it says if you move outside of Idaho during the life of the lifetime license it just needs to exchange for non res license…
What about the Idaho Sportsman package?
Does anyone know if a lifetime license holder who has since moved out of state can buy the sportsman package as a non resident?
I assume no, because we still have non res tag fees but Their website is confusing in the descriptions.
I can’t help but think they want to keep churning non residents through the draw to help with point creep regardless of winter kill. Last year G took 10 points for 100% odds in the regular draw. If they keep 400 tags in G that’s 400 less people with 10+ points.
Unintended consequences of...
I just sent back a mtn gear backcountry bipod because when it came the foot peg was not glued on and would pop on and off, and then one side of the bipod leg would rotate and pop on and off entirely while trying to adjust.
After reaching out to them They recommended I just super glue them...
I shot a moose last year with 300 prc And 225 ELD-M at 285 yards.
first shot was broad Side in vitals but it was still standing so he got a couple more really quick.
No pass throughs, I recovered some bullet fragments in the offside hide, decent internal damage.
225 eldm‘s did the trick on...
