Haha nothing wrong with that! That 338 would be a great choice especially in a McMillan stock. Cerakote helps too. If the gun's in good shape you would have a great gun. -

Most of my experience has been with the Fullfield II line that were made in the U.S. and Philippines with no complaints. I have a Chinese made 3-15x44 Signature HD and a 2.5-10x42 FF IV, we'll see how those hold up compared to the others. -

I'm a lefty too and believe you should shoot proper LH rifles for a couple of reasons. Once you learn to operate a LH rifle properly you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner. You'll be faster to load a second shot and also in the event of a blown primer a LH rifle will offer you better... -

Why is the .270 Winchester so under loaded?
You need a slower burning powder in the 270 compared to a 308 because the bore to case capacity ratio is quite different. MagPro with a 150 gr Sierra gets to 2974 fps according to Hodgdon, you would never use something at slow in a 308. The 270 probably has a similar ratio to a 300 WSM and would... -

Hodgdon doesn't list Superformance for the 270 Win from what I could see so it might not be a good match for it. In the bigger 6.8 Western case they are getting a bit over 3000 fps with the 150 gr Hornady Interbond and 3090 fps with the 145 gr ELD-X. In general though it's hard to sell new... -
