Keeping my damn boot laces tied...

I've taken to tieing as normal then tieing the loops and cinch down. I bet wax would help though.

    Which Arrow Build?

I had full pass through on elk at 55yds with 420g arrow and about 12-15% foc with about 65lb draw weight and 28"of carbon and it broke a rib. Are you using a light broadhead or extra weight at the rear of shaft?

Choices- Browning Hell's Canyon Speed vs. Long Range

That depends on the caliber 28 and 30 noslers have same twist rate. 7rm and some others do have a faster twist for the LR version.

    Feedback On Load

I had almost the same load a few years back in a Savage 14, 67.5 of h4831 not sc. Velocity I have written down is 3000 with 180g Hornady interlock.

    Fletching arrows

I have a bitz and a jo-jan. Bitz is nicer but neither will let you dial in a specific offset, you have to eyeball it and Mark your settings. Doing 3 at a time would be nice but those all look fidgety.

    Hilleberg Tents

I have a Nallo 3 regular, it has functioned well for the few times I've used it. Rained pretty good on us last fall and nary a leak but a mouse chewed or scratched a hole through the inner tent one day. Only issue was water on the door when opening it would fall in on gear in vestibule. The GT...

Choices- Browning Hell's Canyon Speed vs. Long Range

Anyone shot one in 30 nosler. A friend just bought one, the LR version to go with his 7mmRM in same rifle. I tried to talk him into the speed to save 0.75 lb of weight but he got the LR anyway.

School me on MBG slider sights.

I have a couple of mbg sights with standard and micro adjust pins. To be honest I don't like the micro adjust because they are imprecise and sloppy, need to wiggle them while turning the thumb wheel so they will move. Micro for the head is fine though, windage and elevation.

    7mm Rem Mag & 140 gr Accubonds

At 20yds that built only got through the buck to the far side? Should have punched right through him I would think.

Glass vs contacts while hunting and scouting

contacts for me, hated glasses when I started hunting, had to remove them to use binos back then and the rain was a pain. I have astigmatism too and wear weighted lenses but distance vision is fine, reading the phone etc not so good. So 95% of hunting is fine with contacts. Putting in and taking...

    Nissan Xterra

My sil has one, haven't heard him complain about it. Personally it is one of the mid size SUV I was considering buying, for style, frame, tow capacity, etc, and you could get it with a manual trans. I got his Jeep Liberty when the engine went south and he bought the Xterra. Replaced the engine...

Are quilts the biggest load of crap ever? Emperor's new clothes?

I'm tight with you on all your concerns. I would use a quilt with hammock ie underquilt. Using a quilt and tucking it under you to keep in place is smashing the insulation just like the bag. I wear a beanie in bed with the mummy bag anyway but with no hood I might need a thicker beanie than just...
