I am always suspicious of people that kill mature animals on public land every year. I think some peoples egos and pride make them poach. Don’t get me wrong, I know some phenomenal hunters who regularly take animals but even they get skunked on public land probably 1/3 of the time. At least in...
I hunt a high pressure unit and elk are pretty much silent. I started here about five years ago. Over the last five years I would call a lot. No bugles, just sound like a herd of cows and calves. The bulls always came in silent but they came in. It’s not working this year. I may have educated them.
It was a rough time with the nazis and brown bears but we managed to survive by listening to slayer and drinking tequila. The mower would break down from time to time causing great distress from the group. Chaos would ensue with many wondering the grounds aimlessly, wounded and confused. Usually...
I have no idea what the original poster is talking about. Is this like a tide pod challenge? let's go back to that. People eating tide pods. Whats next the blowing your brains out challenge?
If you don’t want to spend the money on a good nature trap you could always get a sticky trap and put it where he walks. They are kind of cruel as the rat will be stuck there until you shoot him in the face. I killed many this way. But the good nature trap works better.
Someone put bear on this list. Bear is definitely a step up from a livery gross mallard but I wouldn’t put it on the best tasting list lol. I don’t get too exited about a chewy bear steak. And it has a funky weird smell when cooking. I think it’s best used in pepperoni and summer sausage. The...
Buy this today and thank me tomorrow. They will climb over their dead rat friends bodies to get killed by this trap. It is freakin awesome.

Because the parts they put in there just completely broke apart. Maybe it was my fault I dunno. Maybe that’s why the real bikes are so heavy and overbuilt. Your probably right, I shouldn’t have been mad at them for my cheapness lol.
I am damn near crippled with back problems. I still kill but its very hard on my body so I wanted an e bike to help but I am cheap, er I mean frugal. So I decided to hire these two boys in Lapine, Oregon to convert my cheap mountain bike into an electric bike. It cost like $1200.00 and I...
I archery hunted for elk in Idaho a few years ago near McCall and we saw bears every day. Mostly near creek bottoms and lush valleys. I wished I had bought a bear tag. If your hunting around that area I sure wouldn’t think you would have any trouble finding them.
He probably said that because the unemployed have to look for jobs to continue to get their unemployment checks or at least that's how it used to be. People would just half ass look for a job just to get the check. Its probably frustrating for employers.
My dad knew how to use his model 70 until the groups got bigger and bigger! I replaced the barrel for him then they returned to normal. He was a hell of a shot. Mostly on running bucks too. He would run and slide to one knee and shoot them. Crazy. I can't do that. Seems that's how all the old...
I honestly did discover this is true when we went to hunt elk in Idaho. My back is super screwed up so I couldn’t “go deep”,with the other guys. We were in elk near the road the whole time while the go deep boys didn’t have any luck. The animals probably just adapt to pressure. After this thread...
I watch a show called “Elkaholics Anonymous” it’s a twelve step program for killin elk filmed on the public lands of Oregon. The only problem is it’s just a show with hunters calling in other hunters. Hours of footage of hunting elk then hearing truck doors slam with bugles right after. Usually...
