So what was it if not Squatch?

I hear this argument a lot. All I can say is: have you ever hunted the Oregon coastal jungle? You could be dropped off about ten miles into that jungle from a helicopter and I'll bet you would have a hard time finding your way out let alone surviving. And I'll bet you will be stepping in places...

So what was it if not Squatch?

I think most skeptics are just wired that way. Unless they see with their own eyes they won't believe. And even if they see they would make an excuse to rationalize it. I understand that. I am leaning towards them being real due to my experiences. I think man is pretty arrogant. We think we know...

The most dangerous animal on public land

Those wild horses in NE Oregon are pretty terrifying. I ran from a raging stallion once. They are mean.

Eastern Oregon joining Idaho as a State

It is truly a shame what has happened to Oregon's wildlife due to horrible management and predators. I would fully be down with joining Idaho, there is common sense there. But I don't think further division is good for the country. We are so divided as a people that this nation could fall fast.

Bad Elk Callers in the Woods

Haha I am far from an elitist hunter. Sorry if I came off that way. I guess what I mean to say is here in Oregon, new hunters do not need a bugle tube. Just use cow calls. You will bring in way more elk. 90% of buglers turn out to be hunters (in my unit). Many have walked into me at full draw...

Bad Elk Callers in the Woods

The elk around here generally run away when they here bugles. I leave my tube at home most of the time. The real bulls usually give me a little half bugle and come on silent. The hunters bugle all the way in to me. Yes take those tunes from them. Th are ruining elk hunting

How can I become a better hunter?

Well I suppose which state you are in would make a difference. Oregon hunting is basically walking around in the woods with a weapon until luck happens. It’s tough hunting silent cagey elk. Some dudes get stuff every year but like I say, I’m suspicious. Especially if he is a cop. Some cops are...
