Most Reliable New 250/2500 Series Truck

Never said they had trans issues lol. I had a 6r100 that took 600 rwhp daily for 3 years. Granted I went through 2 sets of head gaskets, 2 turbos, but the trans held up! The new powerstrokes really have it dialed in. I would buy a 25 tremor in a heart beat but they are 100k. Hard pass. Will...

Most Reliable New 250/2500 Series Truck

The older 48re are actually super reliable with stock power. I had a built 850hp rated put in mine cause I added injectors, turbo, and tuned it. They are bullet proof once you build them.

Most Reliable New 250/2500 Series Truck

Get the extended warranty. I’m a diehard Cummins guy and that would be my choice, but the newest generation powerstrokes are super nice. The l5p duramax engine platform is stout, the rest of the trucks are pure garbage. Couldn’t pay me to own a duramax after 05-07 imo. Rumor has it the new 8...

Anyone rent vehicles on hunting trips?

140k is nothing. Ive taken a 2nd gen cummins to Wyoming and back to South Carolina 2 different times on hunting trips. The last trip it rolled 700k. Miles are just a number if proper maintenance is being done.

    1 month training

I’m a fan of daily cardio and smashing the weights 5-6 times a week. I’ve tried rucking with heavy packs and it didn’t add anything compared to weekly running, lifting and swimming besides added stress on the body. I love heavy pack outs but I don’t think they are needed if you stay in shape...

    Broadhead Practice Time

All I shoot is 2 and 3 inch feathers. Never found a need for more then a 3 inch honestly, as long as the bareshafts are a touch weak, dead laser, or even a touch stiff not much feather is required to get broadheads to group with field tips.

    Broadhead Practice Time

Yep bout that time. I tested a new “ heavy” build with some bareshafts and broadheads at 30 today. 600 grains of pain!

    Quitting Alcohol

Thanks sir. Got up at 430 and knocked out some squats, deadlifts, lunges, then cardio for 30 mins. Shot the longbow before work. Sure can’t do all that hung over and enjoy it!

    Quitting Alcohol

Hit one year tomorrow morning on my birthday. I have zero desire to ever drink again. 3rd kid on the way, I’m a better father, husband and man of god. My workouts and lifts are better, I have a ton more energy to chase the kiddos around, and a much more positive outlook on life. Quit dippin as...

    Efficiency

You’re fine at that length. I also have an 26 inch draw. I’ve used a crawl on 54 inch toelke pika and similar recurves just fine. The longer the length the easier is it as mentioned but with such a short draw length it doesn’t effect it as much.

    First truck purchase advice

Meh I’ve had 2 second gen tacos and pro 3rd gen. For 99 percent of people the ridgeline would be fine. They have much more room then a taco and more useable space. I’m a yota fanboy at heart but the ridge line is just so hard to beat.

    First truck purchase advice

I have an 06 Cummins, wife has a 4Runner and we bought a 24 oddessy since the 3rd kid is on the way, the van is sweet. Can’t wait to stack deer in the back of it haha. Everytime I sell a 3/4 truck and downsize I had a Tacoma, if I ever had to do it again it would be the ridge line all day.

    First truck purchase advice

I’m a diehard Cummins guy, but for a 1/4 ton truck the ridgeline hands down. If I ever down size I would have one in a heartbeat. Crazy reliable and will do everything op ask for and more.

    Bow sizing question

South makes a killer bow. I actually sold all my other customs and just run coyote I had him make with the acs longbow limbs. It’s been a killing machine and favorite bow of all time.

    Efficiency

Not much at all. I’m a 25.5-26 inch draw. My bare shaft stays the same on my stalker coyote with a a small crawl, prolly less then 1/2 an inch and takes my point in from 40 down to 25. I’ve killed a couple dozen critters the fixed crawl, it’s deadly. Adds a slight bit of noise but nothing drastic.
