Grew up in pa. Went into the Marines and saw the world, got out and went back to pa for a few years. Moved to South Carolina due to the horrible politics in the north and much better weather in the south.
My in laws did the yankee dream and moved to Myrtle beach. It’s a mini version of pa...
I had south make me a jager 2.0 with stippling on one of my wolverines and shot it for a few years and liked it. Then I bought a coyote with the 6pak and sold all my other bows haha. All I have now is his bows with the 6pak. Not bragging but I can not pick the bow up for 3 months and the arrows...
I have noticed bows with a lot of g10 in the handle or metal bows it doesn’t matter as much. Bareshaft tune doesn’t change nearly as much with grip pressure.
It’s a medium to high, all flat on the back with solid edges for locators like a yager. It’s south’s custom grip he came up with. Very narrow throat which is awesome since I have small hands. Call South, he’s so nice and will break down all the grips for ya,
Low wrist if your coming from a long bow as mentioned. His medium grips are nice. All my bows have his 6 pak. Best grip for me of all time, it’s a mix of a yager and south’s input. I love them!
I got a mini hoe on my bx23s. Use it weekly. Planting apple trees, digging trenches for new utility lines, digging up tree stumps, moving dirt around my farm. I love it.
That’s prolly the going rate through a ram dealer or even a Cummins dealer. Most mom and pop diesel shops are gunna be 2500-3000 I would say. All depends on the shop and overhead honestly.
Ya I do them all the time, it’s common all the way back to the older 12 valves. Once sealed properly they should last forever. It’s hit and miss from the factory for some reason on the newer 6.7s. Much more common on those then the older ones.
Thanks. So far so good. I’ve had just about every generation of these and bunch of power strokes and duramax. This is hands down the cleanest used truck I’ve ever had. Should last me a long time and hopefully pass it down to one of the kiddos.
Ya I’m a diesel mechanic by trade. Won’t touch a truck with emissions stuff, have had a couple deleted trucks and I still didn’t like them compared to the 5.9. I sold my 07 5.9, 6 speed a few years ago and regretted it. I’m happy now to say the least haha. These trucks are amazing when you take...
Well I’m done. I bought an 06, 5.9 Cummins with 112k on it, one owner. He used it to tow his camper. 65 yr old, retired. Has every service record and maintenance record since 06.
I was putting injectors in a tractor for him and I told him I sold a few of my Cummins and gunna buy a tundra. Got...
Sold my 99 2500 5.9 Cummins last week to a landscaper that has been hounding me for the last 3 years about it. 357k on it. I rebuilt the motor last year since I’m a diesel mechanic by trade and can get Cummins parts at cost. 15k cash. Truck market is insane. I sold my 07 5.9 6 speed last year...
Love my bx23s for home and small farm use. I have 300 hours on mine in a little over a year and not one single issue besides a loose hydro line within the first 15 hours. Only thing I regret is not buying one years ago.
I’m in the market as well and pretty much made up my mind on crew max only just based of looks. Double cabs look so goofy with the back door the way it’s curved. Idk if I could do it even with the 6.5 bed being practical.
We just bought a 24 sport since the 3rd kid is on the way. 4Runner is to small for 3 car seats and my Cummins is louder then a dump truck. Actually just sold the Cummins yesterday so I’m rocking the mini van till I pick up a new tundra.
Injector pulse with test you’re gunna need a scan tool or laptop with Cummins quick serve. I would take a code reader and pull the codes, see if it has any injector pump or injector codes. The big thing on common rails is injector tips sticking and they end melting a piston.
Fass or air dog...
