Guide jacket is usually what people think of softsheels with a decent amount of bonded fleece.
Two better options is the jet stream and axis. Just way better tech in those jackets.
Corrugate foundry is a much better option. Late season being waterproof is mostly irrelevant. Because if it’s raining it’s probably in the high 30s anyways.
I call bs on the wind stopper. If they put some special fabric in their I think they would be heavily marketing it. Not just a small blurb. Half the battle is mental so if you think its wind proof maybe you will yourself to not be cold. lol
No. I’ve called first lite on this. They know this is an issue. This is why I bought my 3rd jacket because they did it’s be fixed but wasn’t. I’m just gonna wait because I’m hoping they add wind stopper this year. It’s basically the last thing they need to be more competitive with Sitka IMO.
shell on outside. thats why its called a shell. the point of the puffy is to trap air and warm it up. if its very windy you will be blowing that warm air of of the insulation. there is a delicate balance of a too compressing shell and a too baggy shell as it has more dead space or compresses the...
Ya they are leaving a lot of money on the table. The first lite foundry corrugate pants are my favs last season. I like the timberlines better for fit and feel but the side vents really help when it’s 60 to 20 in the same week.
