    I would definitely take a frontal shot under 20 yds, as long as he was completely facing me. I have taken a number of deer this way with outstanding results.     Yes it is aluminum. If they used a 7075 alloy, it would be much stronger.

    Yes, just a little lip goes over the shaft to protect it they say. Same relative design as their previous outsert that was easily bent. best option is either their SS insert/outsert at 93 grains or the Firenock outsert that fits around the shaft.

    Don't use that cable to pull back your bow anymore. Contact them for the new version, which is a steel bar and much better. Mine snapped when drawing the bow and busted my BG Ascent and some other things. They replaced my sight and sent me out the new version. They have great CS.

Even when you find a shop that is fairly knowledgeable, they will not put the needed time in to get things just right for you. Found out that I was the best person for that job.     I've read from a few guys that have received their Tek Hybrids that the pins are no where as bright as the BG pins. I also have one on order but not really something I want to hear as I do not like to use lights. May have to go back to my Scent if that is the case.

    Yes, they do fit tightly and work. In my testing I found that on hard angled hits,the insert is prone to break out the end of the shaft.

    Maybe the ICE coating on VAPs help? Regardless I think we are splitting hairs. Target penetration does not usually transfer to live game penetration through flesh IMO.

I plan to use it on my CO elk hunt in later September but also for tree stand whitetail hunting. It seems a little noisy for tree stand hunting? Maybe that will diminish...

    I had just happened to call yesterday to order some and found out they just came in. I wanted Verde but was told that could be a while so I got Vias Attack pants and a Verde Guide jacket. They might not put my pic on the cover of Bowhunter now with the mixed camo. ;)

    FF vanes are the best out there IMO. They also have the SK series in 2" & 3" which are nice too.
