Just so you all know, Russell is going out of business. Thats why its been on sale everywhere, I know alot of people have good luck with russell but, back in November I bought a pair of there cyclone rain pants and did not have good luck. When I tried to return them is when I found out they were...
Well I just bought a new rifle today, ended up with a Tikka light in 7mm Rem Mag. The tikka came with scope rings, was wondering if anybody runs these rings on there rifle and how they hold up, or should I get something else?
fire striker, vasaline soaked cottonballs in a old 35 mm film can, iodine tablets, space blanket, extra cliff bar, small first aid kit, knife carried on me and one in my pack.
the rifle would be factory, I was considering a tikka. I do hand load but am new to it, I have noticed that 7 wsm ammo from factory is pretty scarce in the local stores and not as much selection in any of the outdoor catalogs. If I was always hand loading amo it wouldnt be a big deal most times...
thanks for the replies, I had looked at the balistic tables for both and new there wasn't a whole lot of diffference there, just thought I would see if there was any other reasons to pick one over the other.
was considering both as a new rifle for my go to gun from antelope to elk. I will reload amo, was wanting to pick as many brains as possible on pros and cons for both.
Shaving helps big time, Even when your not in the woods, you will stink less and use less deodorant. One stick lasts me forever. As far as in the woods goes, I shower with scent killing soap before I leave the house and then use no deodorant, but I don't sweat as much as some.
Diesels are great, I have a 06 cummins, great running ( mine is very smooth riding ) great fuel milage plenty of power and its fun to black stomp mini vans. But, they are very expensive when something breaks. All around good hunting truck if you don't mind a small pickup is a toyota tacoma. I...

you are right Bitterroot, I always respect your opinion and listen when you start talking, and your right, this probably isn't the place for it. But, some things get me going and being as this is a issue directly related to hunting I just thought it might have gotten a little more attention.
I realized that right after posting, thanks for sharing it, I think it sad no one else could comment on this, probably a little extreme for most I suppose.
Good good stuff everything I feel and have tried to say my whole life, you obviously write and can express yourself much better than I can though. I am with you. I agree when push comes to shove most people will not be though, Americans have gotten way to comfortable in life and something like...
Aron, it seems that the wait for one of the new bags may be getting longer and longer. I'm pretty sure I want one but probably won't be ready to lay down the cash until May or June. I know you probably don't have a crystal ball that tells the future but, if I waited that long to order what might...
