Have you looked at Montana Ore? I hunted in montana years ago. Saw lots of bears and we went three for four. Hunted mostly off forest service roads. The year we went there was alot of snow so it limited were we could go.Hoping to go back sometime soon. I know washington and oregon are draw only...
At times you can find freezers for a pretty good price at Home depot or Lowes. I"ve had good luck with my chest freezer so far. I got one for free about sevens years ago and is still running. I worry it will go out so i check on every couple days. I like the surge protector idea.
Thats cool 7rams in 7mountain ranges. Steve set a goal to do it and accomplised it. :) Even though it took him awhile to do it. He never gave up on his goal :)
Like a few others have said. I would go to BC or Yukon on a mulitple specie hunt(sheep, goat, caribou, moose anb grizzly bear) horse back or back pack. Then after that would keep my eye out for last minute cancellation hunts. Especially if you have some money put away and being retired.
Thank You for the review. I just weighed my insulated air core(20x72x2.5") and it weighs in at 27.85oz. On the Big Agnes web site says the new IAC (20x72x3.25") weighs in at 22oz. And Q core sl(20x72x3.5") weighs in at 17oz. It looks like i will be doing some shopping before long :)
It's now the outdoor version of House Wives. Just another daytime series. That"s a good one. Diffidently looks like the sheep hunting is kicking their but. The drama in some of the shows are getting out of hand. They have planned this for almost a year . Wouldn't getting in shape be a priority...
My goal is to work out every day. With my wife or my kids. Go from weighing 209 to about 190 or so. Have energy and stamina to hike into areas farther away from crowds. Some of the new spots i found are off the beaten path.
I have had my kenetreks for awhile now and put on alot of miles. This year i started having a issue with my right boot. My little toe ends up pushed into my other toes and creates a hot spot. Not sure if it is the way I tie them or something else. Has anyone had that issue or is it just me?
This was my first hunting season wearing merino wool. I bought a firtst lite top and kuiu 185 and 250 tops. I used the 185 the most and used the kuiu 250 and first lite when the temps dropped below freezing. So i have no real favortism between both yet. Just getting in to using merino wool ...
