    Backcountry clothing video

Great videos! I see you use the HECS, have you noticed a difference in the way elk or deer behave when they are closer to you? I know that there have been times while in stand whitetail hunting that the wind was perfect, and I was not moving, but they just seem to know that you are there. I...

    Your Worse Back Country Experience

It wasn't in the backcountry, but I broke me knee whitetail hunting here in IL. I had to rig up a crutch out of a branch, and limp back the 1/4 mile to my truck. Haven't had anything scary happen in CO yet, hope it stays that way.

What are you cooking with your game meat?

We eat venison at least 5 times a week in one for or another. As an example, my wife smoked a leg of venison over apple wood chunks for 2 hours, then wrapped it in Russian boar bacon, and finished it in the oven for another hour. It was heaven! Had as left overs twice, then used the rest of it...

Whatever legal bull I run across, I will take. I don't care how long the pack out is, uphill, downhill, it doesn't matter.

    Where do you camp?

The first 3 years we were camping lower in the drainages, so we would spend a lot of time getting up high to glass, especially when the wok were quite. We plan on camping up higher this year, closer to the divide in the unit we hunt in. Water will be the only pain, but we will just deal with that.
