    Carbon Element Noise

    I have a 2013 CE, no noise at all. On my Carbon Matrix, I would occasionally notice some rattling, and found that the screws on my cams were backing out. A little Loktite fixed that.

    The first year we went elk hunting, my wife had a decent mulie buck at 20 yards broadside, and no deer tags! I have gotten deer tags ever since.

    Bouncing blazer helix jig vs boning tower jig.

    I use the Bohining Blazer and like it a lot. Very easy, hard not to do it right with this jig. I now use it to mount the 2" Rayzor feathers.

    What to look for in trekking poles

    I just bought the Black Diamond Z-Poles, all carbon, and go together like your tent poles do, no twist or lever lock. Super light, love them. The only downside is they are not length adjustable, you have to order the length you want. Just do a search, you can find last years models for a discount.

    Who was/is your best hunting partner?

    Without question my best hunting partner is my wife! I got her into hunting about 6 years ago, and she loves it. This year will be our 5th trip to CO for our DIY OTC elk hunt.
