I had a Black Diamond Firstlight with a similar footprint - my head and feet were both fully contacting the tent when laying diagonally. Way too small for me at 6'2".
Oven turkey roasting bags also make good VBL socks. I regularly use a VBL on my feet (and sometimes hands) during late season.
Also, keeping core warm is key to warm extremities assuming there aren't any circulation issues.
I'm going to try to pull my rokstock lug tonight.
My rokstock lug is protruding ~0.14", factory Tikka lug ~0.06", Tikka action lug recess is ~0.09" deep. Rokstock lug width is 0.001" narrower than action so should be good there.
I'm having trouble getting mine seated too. I can feel the action engage the lug. My Rokstock recoil lug protrudes way further than any of the lugs in the three factory stocks I have. Waiting for an email back from UM. I doubt you're doing anything wrong...
