I’m assuming you’d be sizing up to accommodate a puffy.
The timberline has more room on the forearm area and while it compresses the puffy a bit, it’s not bad. Timberline does have a hood though. Good luck
Bought these new about 1.5 years ago and they’ve hung in gear closet since - never used. Price’s are TYD in lower 48. Paypal F&F or add 3% for fees.
FL Obsidian Med - Dry Earth with suspenders. $125
FL Chama Med hoody - SOLD
For early season I would go with the 210 sf vs 260. If you’re gonna sit and not hike much, 260 is doable but if you move at all that is a different level of warmth vs the 210.
Bench made bug out in my pocket every day of the year, including hunts. Bring benchmade steep country on hunts.
If car camping, I’ll add a camp/kitchen knife as well which is a $17 Maraknov that is sturdy and keeps a good edge
Yep - had the thunderhead for a year or so but it has no venting capabilities other than unzipping main chest zipper. No pit zips
It’s a great late season option but I wouldn’t want to be active in it, ever. Is quiet as well
Jetstream by Sitka is the best wind blocking jacket I’ve come across. Not fully waterproof but unbelievable wind protection and good warmth as well. Much quieter than waterproof shells.
