Hey that’s super helpful advice! Thank you. It’s the only one of my rifles that has this type of bolt so it’s been a learning curve for me. Appreciate your help!

“Do the Mous cases cover the entire phone?”
No. They sell nice screen covers that don’t shatter when you breath on them like all the Amazon glass ones I used to buy though.

“If you’re not glassing, you’re just camping.” [emoji23]
My routine looks more like glass, nap, glass, walk, glass, nap, glass, eat Mtn house, go to sleep.
Maybe that’s why I haven’t gotten my first CA bear yet.

To answer the OP’s question: I have learned a ton here. There are some people that post here regularly that have decades of experience in very specific areas I do not. I am grateful for their willingness to share that wisdom.
Some people do just want to be reassured of a decision they’ve...
Just checked stowaway and they are sold out of almost everything. Is that typical? Or just a seasonal thing like most everything else right now?

Feel for you man. It took my wife and I seven years of looking, planning financing and down payment options, putting in offers and being outbid every time before we bought. I think we put offers in on at least 7 homes before we found a house no one else bid on.

Just got an email from Sportmans saying they had rifle ammo in stock. Looks like they still do. Limit 5 boxes per.

I keep trying to leave Mtn House but keep coming back. Peak, Backpackers Pantry. Keep coming back to MH.
Maybe I’ll try a few of the more expensive ones like Heathers Choice or others suggested. Anyone have any feedback about Heathers choice?

I have not looked through the Meoptas, but of the others you listed I would say:
Maven C1 < Vortex Viper < BX-4
I was not impressed with the C1’s at all (B1’s and B2’s whole different story). Vipers are ok but not amazing and the edge clarity bothered me. BX-4’s glass was a big step up from...
So many choices. I’ve used Otterbox, Incipio, Magpul, and cheap silicone Amazon cases.
Currently using my second Mous. 12 foot drop rated and has a nice beveled edge toward the top and bottom.
The life proof and heavy duty Otterbox cases just added too much bulk to the phone for my liking...
For the money, the Ruger American rifles are great because most of them shoot much better than a rifle at that price should. There are a few upgraded versions from the basic model that are also still very inexpensive.
I picked one up for my sons first rifle (he’s 10) so I could put a scope on...
Not exactly sure what you mean… but think you may be finding you can only respond to your own post once every 24 hrs if no one else does. You can reply every time someone else comments though.
That is because a new comment moves the post to the top of the threads and classified posts would...
Had a pair of BX-4’s and agree, they are nice. Prefer my Mavens, but to each their own. However, I will say it gets expensive playing the “better” binocular upgrade game.

I like the 3 position safety as well. I want the ability to move the bolt while still on safe, just also want to lock it while hiking. My only gripe with the Ruger.
But there are plenty other rifles I can buy that do that like your model 70.
