    Arrow Build Overview!!

Recently I have posted a bunch of threads asking questions about arrow components and figuring out how I want to build my arrows. Now that I have completed the arrow build I figured it would be good to explain how everything went, so other people don't make some of the mistakes I made. I did...

Anyone Chrono the new Bowtech SR350 with the correct mods yet?

I second this. Or at least test the bows at exactly 70lbs and 30" and tell us what it actually shoots. Most people don't care about a high ibo. We care about what a bow actually shoots. And if your customers are achieving the speeds that the bow is supposed to shoot. We will be much happier.

Anyone Chrono the new Bowtech SR350 with the correct mods yet?

You probably mean 346 and 340. I saw the video to. He said Bowtech checked it and they said it went 347 on their Chrono. He ran the bow at exactly 70lbs and 30in and he got 335. He then moved the bow to 72lbs and got 340. He did say at 72lbs there was still space to higher the poundage even...

    Which one would you Choose

Under 45 yards the differences in weight you will be talking about are minimal. I would keep the heavier arrow for increased momentum and penetration and it will help quiet the bow down. If you would shoot long distances then I would say that a lighter arrow might be better, but under 45 yards...

    New Bow/New Stuff

This is a very open ended question but I'll give you my 2 cents. I would recommend a drop away rest whether that is limb driven or cable driven. That is personal preference. I have a QAD HDX and I really like it. As for sight this is a rabbit hole that never ends. I shoot a Single Pin HHA Tetra...

    Broadheads and Success!!

There was a thread earlier where it asked what broadheads everybody was using this year, and it was awesome to see what everyone was shooting. Well now that most hunting seasons are over, I figured it would be cool to see how all of these heads performed in the field and what your setups were...

    Best lighted nock??

I used Glory Nocks this season and won't be using them next season for a couple reasons. The biggest reason is that the actual nock is larger than a normal nock and can create nck pinch in your d-loop. And second one of the 3 nocks I got was not consistent. Sometimes it worked perfectly and...

    Yoke Tuning and Bow Press

About how many twists is average for fixing cam lean. Obviously it is different for every bow. But what is a good starting point?

Why are all shops handing out 340 spine

The same thing happened to me when I bought my new bow. I am 29" Draw and shoot 71lbs. I picked the arrows I wanted and the guy went to the back and grabbed them. He never asked if I was running more weight out front or anything else. When he came out with 350 spine arrows I told him that I was...

    Yoke Tuning and Bow Press

I just got a dozen new arrows and am now bareshaft tuning each of them. I am constantly getting a right tear and have boiled it down to cam lean. I have moved my rest left and right and no matter how much I move it I still get a right tear. I know for a fact that it it not a spine issue. Here are...

Black Gold versus Spot Hogg single pin sights

I have a HHA Tetra single pin and I really like it. I have never used either of those 2 sights so I can't say much about those. As for my sight the pin is super bright and pin brightness can be controlled using their mechanical rheostat. I like where the sight tapes are located on the HHA and...

    Arrow build help

Lots of good information on spines above. As for the 4mm vs 5mm axis. I just bought the 5mm Axis Match Grade. I was debating between the 4mm and 5mm also. The part that I just didn't like about the 4mm is limited components and needing deep six stuff. If you go with a 5mm shaft you will have...

    Thoughts on switching RH-LH

If you are right eye dominant and are trying to switch to left handed, that is going to be hard. I'm not an expert at this but I would imagine it would be hard as your would be using your non-dominant eye. If you want to try it just shoot your RH bow LH. I have shot a right handed bow even...

    Best Quiver

I have the Hex Light from trophy ridge and like it a lot. The lights that come on it are awesome. And I love the 5 arrow design. Won't be changing quivers anytime soon.

Good Budget For A First Bow

I shoot the hoyt torrex and you can get that bow in a ready to hunt package for about $700. I didn't get the package just because I wanted to customize it and get the accessories I wanted(I ended up spending $1600 for everything compared to the $700 package) but the package that comes with it is...

    Spine sound about right?

I'm no expert when it comes to this, but to me it sound like it should be about right. What you could do is cut one arrow to 28.5" ctc and then put just a stock insert on the front of it and then buy various field points in different weights and then paper tune with different point weights to...

    Arrow Speed Question

290 fps with a 480 grain arrow sounds awesome. I wouldn't change anything. Shooting 290 is faster than a lot of people shoot. And if you go to shooting around 315 fps tuning is going to get a lot more difficult. If it were me I wouldn't change a thing. That sounds like a killer setup!!
