New Airazr Pro's and My new whitetail arrow for 2024

Yup I do, Those vanes are as far back as they can be without touching my face. The back of the vane is an inch up from the end of the carbon.

New Airazr Pro's and My new whitetail arrow for 2024

Before I get started there are going to be a bunch of you that just say why'd you go through all this work for such a little change. Well I am going to tell you. And it was my money, time, and decision to do this, not yours. In previous years I was running a 4 fletch of Tac Driver 2.25 vanes...

Speed check on 30’ Ventum: this normal or something off?

IMO that is a very light arrow for elk. If you have a stiff enough arrow I would at least throw an extra 25 grains in your head weight to at least get you over 400 grains. Speed doesn't kill any animal. Neither does a stupid heavy arrow. You have to find a good range to be in. But to me you are...

    Let’s talk Broadheads!

I have used the QAD Exodus and it performed great on the 1 deer I shot on it. I just felt like they would never fly great. I had to use the full version because of my state rules. But I have heard the swept fly much better. I have switched the the G5 deadmeat for this year so I am interested to...

    B3 Exit/ Handheld Release

I am looking at getting this release. And was wonderig if anyone has any experience with it. It looks nice. The biggest thing is I want to make sure the trigger isn't super light, because its hard to have a suprise break when the trigger is lighter than a feather. I'm not looking to spend much...

    Amazon lighted nocks

If I were you I'd get "Real" ones. The last thing you want is a nock failing when it actually matters. You can get halo nocks on amazon and those are legit. Otherwise rn I am using nockturnal shifts, which are so nice cause you can shut them off so easily.

Make sure to double check your bow from the pro shop.

Can totally relate to this. Got my first bow and the pro shop I brough it to just seemd so weird and did so much wrong from what I knew. I went with it and wish I would have just said what I thought was wrong. Just brought my bow to a different shop yesterday to get custom strings put on and...

Hoyt Torrex Side Plates!...... Well Kind of

I agree the feel of the grip when shooting is similar. Although I think it feels a tad nicer with side plates. I like the side plats for carrying my bow, and I mean like walking around with it. I have already noticed its way easier and comfy to hold it with side plates. If it wasn't for the 1...

Hoyt Torrex Side Plates!...... Well Kind of

I looked everywhere and this seemed to be like 1 of 2 options. This one, or the beereal grip for hoyts. But now looking at this im not sure if the beereal would fit on the torrex. This seemed to be about the only other option for me when it comes to grips. I have only shot it a caouple times but...

    New bow sight help

Well than OP I would definitely take a look into this sight.

Hoyt Torrex Side Plates!...... Well Kind of

I finally had enough of the rounded grip on my Torrex. I always had issues with getting broadheads to fly well and that's what I am guessing it was. I just hated that grip. So I ordered some side plates that said they will work on any hoyt aluminum bow with the pro fit or x-act grip. My torrex...

    New bow sight help

Im not sure if black gold makes a pic mount. But I have heard only amazing things about their slider 2 pin. I want that sight but dont have the money to buy it atm. I'd definitely take a look at it because its one of the only sights that has the 2nd pin that can move.

    Best Hunting App?????

I have been running OnX for years now and I love it. The maps are so clear and it just works well. I am interested if there is a better option though. To clarify I am a college student, so I don't have an unlimited amount of time to spend in the woods. Trust me I wish I could be out there EVERY...

Summertime Scouting - Leave it alone?

I agree with above. Being so far away from season walking through there really isnt going to hurt anything. The only way you really push deer out of their summer holes is if you are constantly in there making a racket. I would for sure set up a couple cameras to get the lay of the land and start...

    What vanes should I run?

I was just starting to look at the airzr's. I am really liking the Airzr pros in a 4 fletch. Because at 4 grains per fletch thats 16 grains for all my flecthings. that cuts off about 10 grains on the back which is exactly what I want. Thanks for your responses so far guys!!

    What vanes should I run?

I dont want to go really any heavier with my arrow setup. I am right around 515 grains right now and I would kinda like to stay there. If I was a little lighter I would for sure just do that. I do want to keep so speed because like I said I am comfortable out to 50, so I am trying to find the...

    What vanes should I run?

Ya lighted nocks are something I feel like I just have to and "should run" just from the aspect of how much easier it is to find my arrow. And finding your arrow can be so crucial when trying to recover an animal. I Looked into the max stealths. Thats just hard because a 3 fletch of them weighs...

    What vanes should I run?

I have definitely thought of a 3 flecth of blazers or that style. To me i kind of like a lower profile, they just seem quieter. But I know how well they work for sure. Thanks!

    What vanes should I run?

I have thought about a 3 fletch of hybrid 23, or a 4 fletch of Max 2.0 and a bunch of other stuff. So let me know what you think.

    What vanes should I run?

Okay. I am looking for some words of wisdom because I am not exactly sure what I should do. My arrow setup is a Easton Axis 5mm 300 spine. I am currently running a 4 fletch of TAC Driver 2.25 vanes with a wrap. Those come out to a total of 26-27 grains for my fletching and wrap. I am looking to...
