I will say that UM worked with me and we came up with a solution. They're doing that for others as well.
Give them a shot - they announced a revamp to their QC process to address QC issues.
Did you cut the bolt release pin short? I had a hell of a time getting my 223 action coplanar to the chassis until I called XLR and they mentioned that it's sometimes needed. It could be that your action isn't sitting flush.

I bought one the other day. Added to my cart and hesitated for a few hours. Got a $10 off coupon in my email that pushed me over the edge.
Now to explain to the wife why I need a second 223...
A few of us have had really bad experiences lately at UM, so I'd give them some time to get quality back in check. Great guys but they've been spread real thin with new staff training up.
My first suggestion is to look locally. A good one will source a reamer that meets your needs. Being able...
I'm not trying to argue that thermal isn't fair chase or change your mind. State game agencies need to be lobbied to change laws if technology outpaces "fair chase".
You're trying to shame people for hunting differently than you choose to. Cool. Some guys are lazy and use every advantage...
Use of aircraft or drones is usually not legal. Yes, state laws lag technology, but choosing which tech not to use that's legal is a personal position.
You can't be completely altruistic about fair chase unless you're a cave man as pointed out. Rangefinders? Scopes? Modern rifle? Compound bow...
Seems like you'll need scheduled check in times. You'll need to be in "satellite" mode to receive messages when out of range. While both parties are connected texting seems almost normal according to reports.
Edit - sorry can't edit title. It's 2nd Focal Plane.
Bought this last year from cameraland and am now switching over to MILs. My loss...
Everything is in perfect shape, just light range use. Comes with everything you'd get brand new including stickers, tools, lens wipe (unused).

Between Leupold and Sig I doubt you'd notice a difference. I tried my buddies Swaro EL range binos and those are noticeably better but not enough to make me switch. I hated the slow response of the Swaro compared to my 3000 BDX.
I'm itching to upgrade but these things just work.
Will 1:8 twist get you what you need? Cheapest/fastest path forward would probably be to find a CTR in 243 and have a gunsmith set the barrel back and rechamber to 6 creed. Does the Varmint profile match CTR...
