    Best money spent this week

Yes, compared to most places these are pretty inexpensive licenses and tags. Even better, once you hit 65 they are all free!

    Need advice - woman's rifle

An overlooked issue with fitting rifles for women is scope height. The go to seems to be low mount rings but I found, for my wife and daughter, that medium height is a better starting point for easier site picture acquisition.

    Close Range Whitetail Bullets

Touch bigger than the 6.5 but here is the result of a 45-70 with 325 gr, at about 40 yds. He didn't go far. :) The ELDX is a good bullet for distance. My daughter got a Dall ram at 350 last year with my 6.5 CM, one shot, about 5 steps.

Advice needed for Canada bear hunt

Have never shot one over bait but the last spring bear we ate was fantastic. It was bio estimated at around 20 years old - a big boar- and you couldn't even smell the meat when you held it to your nose.

    Nuisance trapping advice

You can wrap the base of the tree with thicker chicken wire and that will either deter or at least slow them down. I did this with some polar they were trying to knock down around my garage and greenhouse until I got my lethal options engaged.

    Heart attack?

Had one in 2019, a week before I was supposed to be sheep hunting. 57 years old and had just finished changing the tires on my truck. I thought I had pulled something in my left shoulder/chest area except it kept getting more painful. We're about 20 miles out of town so wife calls 911 and says...

The "ArriveCan" app is no more... if that's the one you're referring to. The worst road, at least on the Canadian side, is the section from Haines Jct, YT to Beaver Creek. Or the North Klondike to Dawson City
