    I am an Idaho resident and I do get tired of the constant complaints of non residents being EVERYWHERE and ruining units. Unless F&G has deceived us, non residents only account for 10% of elk tags so it is hard for me to say they have anything to do with the crowding problem.

    Some sort of automotive funnel or a reloading funnel worked for me. Or chop a water bottle in half.

    18” 6 creed with 109 eldm at 2840 MV. 132 yard shot, broke right through the dreaded elk shoulder and shredded the lungs. Cant believe it didn’t explode on impact 🤓

    That makes more sense and might make the cost worth it at that point. I was thinking if they are just the same ones you'd buy from an Ace hardware then you would be better off to go buy 270 of them at .10 a piece until you got the right size.

    It depends on the venue, but most of the ones I have been to allow for campers. When the matches are all posted on the website, it will usually have a description that tells you if you can or can't.

    What makes him a dumbass? Why is this so bad? I don't think he said anything about public vs private. That deer is definitely on private ground if it is where I think it is. As far as sighters go, if the situation allows for it, why not? I think one of the owners of this forum has spoken about...

    Interesting comparing the hornady load data to the Peterson testing that was done. Peterson shows 42.5 grains of RL 26 with a 75 eldm at 62K PSI in a universal receiver…. Hornady max load with the same is 47.7 grains. That is a SUBSTANTIAL difference

    Is that really the difference? Will an arc do 3500? When it’s put that way, 4x barrel life makes 120 FPS difference seem pretty insignificant.
