When do you give up on a barrel/trouble shooting

I have a 6/7 prc that I've got about 130rds through. I haven't been able to get it to group consistently under 2" for 10 shots. It's a nitride treated Tikka action with an UM chambered and installed Ace barrel. AB Raptor 8 can. Maven RS.1 2.5-15X44, Sportsmatch rings torqued 25/65 inch lbs...

Thanks much! The sanding I was referring to was possibly sanding down the turret cap.

Any illustration of this? I think I have a spare extractor I could play with. This seems like the best, no cost option before I get crazy with the belt sander.

But then what would I do with my cap? 🤷

Yes, it's a 7prc case. It seems to cause issues fast or slow. I did move the scope forward with no improvement.

Anyone having ejected brass hit the windage cap? My Maven is in Sportsmatch T084 and frequently brass bounces back into the chamber. 6/7prc. Removing the cap is the fix. I'm thinking about grinding the cap down, just haven't brought myself to do it yet.

I wa I waste too much time and ammo shooting groups. My comment was meant to be humorous, sorry if it sounded dick-ish

    Lightning safety while hunting

I'm guessing that a person standing anywhere in the world will have zero effect on where lightning hits.

    Lightning safety while hunting

Mule and horse were killed by step potential. Lightning must have hit the ground nearby. If the guy was on the ground with both his feet far apart he may have been killed too. Rain slicker wasn't a factor.

    Lightning safety while hunting

It's all about the step potential. Just hop on one foot.

I had 2 different barreled actions in it, my 6GT didn't shoot horribly, but not as good as normal. 6/7prc didn't shoot very well either, hoping the recoil lug was a factor. We shall see.

My MT recoil lug is .010 taller than a Tikka factory lug. I don't know if it was causing any issues or not, but I swapped it out.
