I use "A" in aluminum. More durable, less expensive, still only 16 oz. I have lever locks on mine. Not sure what locks are on the "B" poles... But, I have heard the twist locks apply less force and are more prone to slipping.
Mine seems to do fine on mult-day hunts. It has been my primary base layer for 4-5 day archery elk hunts over the past 3 years. Odor has not been significant during that time.

Have an Instinct Solar. I really like it. Great functions for fitness and hunting. My only complaint is the size of the display. My old eyes have a hard time seeing the notifications.

I have been dealing extra fatigue as well. I think it is the heat (I'm also in Texas and dealing with 100+ degrees and 80% humidity).

Yep. They have saved me many times from a bad fall while packing out meat after dark in steep, rocky terrain. Also great as a monopod for glassing with binoculars. Can be used as a bipod as well.
