How far are you wanting to shoot? Factory 108s out of my 16” 6 creed are going ~2700fps. Easy to see impacts, available/cheap ammo for practice, and at 6k feet it’ll stay above 1800 fps out past 700 yards. If that works for you it seems like the easy button for a trainer/hunter combo.
You guys should start up a carnivore diet thread and post up results. I’d be interested in seeing the progress and it’ll help keep everyone accountable.
Haven’t tested accuracy yet but I got 3000fps with the 77s and 2900fps with 88s with N540 and 205AR primers. Once I get back from this work trip I’ll mess with it more.
Only 1.5 hours away. That may be a winner. Seems like all the charters are private party and I cant talk any of my coworkers into leaving the beach bars.
I'm here for work and have the weekend off and want to do some fishing. I'm near Liberia and need some recommendations for a good charter out here. Anybody have one? Ive never been on a chartered fishing trip so I have no idea what Im looking for I just want to go fishing.
I think the hate for NRs is just on the internet. I’ve never ran into a resident in AZ, ID, or MT that was a jerk. Funny enough it’s always the NRs that are the jerks.
I think a more accurate number would be impact velocity. 1800FPS is a lot different at sea level verse 10k feet. I think 1300 was mentioned somewhere but don’t quote me on that.
I owe you an apology sir. I didn’t do my due diligence and look into the links you posted and called mark directly. @Htm84 thank you for posting that screen shot.
Yeah. Picking up the barrel tomorrow. I’ll test out 77s and 88s with N540, H4895, and 8208. N540 has been the fastest but I just got some 4895 to test out and from what I’ve heard and read, it should be faster than N540
That answers my question. I’m at pressure right now with n540. I just wanted to know if pressure is still going to be the same regardless if I seat the bullet out farther with the same amount of powder. Unknown just finished extending the throat and +P’n it for me so I’ll have more data later...
