The 1 Thing You Learned- Suppressors

I think you just have to have the paperwork for your suppressor with you and make sure they are legal to use in that state. I carry both my physical paperwork and pictures of it on my phone

Just loss of velocity. It's about 30 fps for each inch you take off

The 1 Thing You Learned- Suppressors

I keep dreaming up of having a Blaser R8 with a 22" barrel. With the shorter action of that particular rifle, overall length would only be 26"

The 1 Thing You Learned- Suppressors

So far I'm liking the one I have for rifles that you wouldn't be packing to the elk mountains. It's also on 22LR and 223 that used for varmints and target shooting

The 1 Thing You Learned- Suppressors

The lightest suppressor you can makes a lot of sense. I wonder if that would change your point of impact less as well?

The 1 Thing You Learned- Suppressors

I agree about the physical profile of the suppressor being a high priority. I wish they would start making them a little bigger in diameter so the length could be shortened more

The 1 Thing You Learned- Glassing Smarter

Ready for an absolutely shameless ultra lightweight tripod plug? Our Ascent is a carbon tripod that only weighs only 3.3 lbs. The cool part is it saves you even more weight because takes the place of multiple pieces of gear by screwing apart into trekking poles, big bipod, a tent, and a super...

The 1 Thing You Learned- Glassing Smarter

Well said! Just looking is casual glassing, and that's fine, but using a tripod is intentional glassing. You would use a combination of styles for different animals and terrain

The 1 Thing You Learned- Suppressors

Hey Roksliders! I’m back with another installment of the “1 Thing” theme, this time focused on the rapidly expanding popularity of SUPPRESSORS. I think most of us make a mistake over and over again. We go on a hunt, but don’t make the effort to think critically about 1 thing we learned and will...

The 1 Thing You Learned- ELK

I love that quote " Get on their nose and not their tail". Anyone else have a good hunting quote?

The 1 Thing You Learned- ELK

Especially on public land. Does this ever backfire on you when you play it slow and another hunter comes busting in? Are there any circumstances when you would not play it slow?

The 1 Thing You Learned- ELK

Nothing ruins a hunt more than finding out the person you've just committed to spending a couple days with gives up really easy or is more about drinking beer and eating donuts

The 1 Thing You Learned- Glassing Smarter

You're right on the money. Since I started using our Sentinel tripod with the ability to easily swap between Optics and rifle, I've been more comfortable in the field. Obviously I'm biased, but it's less about the brand of gear and more about being able to keep everything set up within arms...

The 1 Thing You Learned- Scopes for Hunting

I believe ya. I also grew up among ranchers. These guys didn't have many guns or even fancy firearms, but they used them frequently. That familiarity made them surprisingly successful!

The 1 Thing You Learned- Scopes for Hunting

Oh no! We've all had those moments where we take something apart and have more pieces left when we're done 🙊
