One trick I’ve learned for stability and recoil management is get claw or spiked feet for your bipods. I can spot my impacts with my 10.5lb 300nmi shooting 245 bergers at about any range. Makes it fun to watch your bullet impact an animal, the validation you made a good shot on it. Also at...
The ckye is a great bipod, I’ve shot off a double pull before. I use a standard atlas cal for hunting and have always been really stable with it. The ability to get a wider stance offered by the ckye is beneficial. The larger footprint of your shooting tripod (bag, bipod legs) increases...
Honestly a good bipod is worth its price, for target shooting I like to use the heaviest and widest possible. Atlas super cal is my go to for that. Rear bag is just as important, if you don’t have a consistent and solid rest back there, your impacts will be high from the stock dropping on...
I hike dialing is always most accurate, it sounds to me if you’re hunting from a blind then those shots aren’t very long (correct me if this is wrong) so holding over using your reticle would be a great choice for low light. Pre season test your poi with dialing and compared to holdover and...
I work 7 days a week all June and July into august, and typical stop working out sometime in April. I dive right into bear season with some hikes which turn into hunts. I used a peloton bike 5-6 times this year before my first hunt and made it 26 miles in a weekend and 2 pack outs and never...
Because that’s what you’re supposed to do when setting parallax, the yardage marks just get you close. Obviously more critical with longer shots than closer, but even when going for your tightest groups at 100yds correct parallax matters.
