I’ve seen too many stainless actions rust, and it’s a thinner coating than cerakote and doesn’t impede on action tolerances as much. Just 2 points to bring to the argument.
And it’s the new hotness, 3 points to argue 😂
My buddy owns a small business geared towards outdoor gear. Many times people have come on here just as the OP has causing a ruckus, only to find out the business’ reply got sent to their spam folder and they replied instantly…even after they say “I checked my spam folder already!”. It happens a...
If it gets there it gets there, if it doesn’t it doesn’t, I look to the brass and bolt feel for pressure not any calculators 🤷🏻♂️ Also if I know I’m on an upper node I won’t chase velocity. I go until I find a good spot and that’s where it’s going to be. I got his CA ridgeline 300wm going like...
It is slow, and I’m out of case capacity with the retumbo. He wanted something cleaner than rl26 as that’s what he used to use, but it we have to go there we will haha. H4350 and standard primers will be a test along with n565. I bet 3000 is doable.
His CA ridgeline was using rl26 and a 24”...
Threw together a quick load with a buddies 18” prc suppressed and 124 hammer hunters. Using retumbo and getting 2905fps average. May revisit the load later with a quicker powder and see what happens.
Factory 143 ammo was 2694 average.
Buddy had this one and a backlanz before it. Definitely like the mtn gear better. The pic rail is nice and I feel it’s more user friendly. I was skeptical being so light with a mentality that I’ll give up stability with it…then proceeded to shoot my best group ever with my 7 saum at 440yds…so...
I’ve been running the 245 eol and have had large exit holes. I know one guy who has ran the hybrid on audads with same results. They wreck stuff especially with some horsepower behind them!
Been using the same since 2012, other than the battery dying on me mid hunt (I replace them annually now!) it hasn’t skipped a beat, and has also ranged past 1600 on many occasions. It’s small in size too, and I’m finding it very hard to replace.
I bolt some 3/16-1/4” thick angle to the back of the target, then weld a 1/4” thick x 2” square tube coming off the bottom of that with a bolt on the backside. This slips over a t post and you can set your height with the bolt. Some places I shoot have rolling hills and I’ll setup/takedown...
