For those who struggle to run or want to get better at running faster/longer distances, Google: run slow to run faster, or 80/20 training.
That training theory blew my mind and I've never enjoyed running as much as I do now.
Before this research; every run I pushed as hard as I can for as...
Awesome stuff and glad to hear the stories and successes! Just reading these posts makes me want to push myself harder! I've got it in me to do more, just need to continue building my base.
A 50mi run is no joke! I enjoy running much more than my body does. Wish I can go longer distances without the soreness in my knee, which I had surgery on a year ago. It's getting better but still not the same as my other knee.
Not sure how I feel about an IM. I like the idea but will...
There's a lot of talk on here about health & fitness, weight loss, and being a better you. Though, I haven't seen many posts about races or events they plan on doing. Not sure if this thread will be interesting to the masses but would love to hear if anyone is doing tris, half/whole marathons...
Now that it seems you have your diet down and what does/doesn't work for you, increasing your exercise level will help you continue on your weight loss journey. If you haven't already, get a watch or fitbit to track your heart rate, calories expended, and other health metrics. I've found that...
Haven't been on Rok lately so wanted to check in to see where this thread was at, and push this back to the top. Hope everyone is progressing in 2024 as they planned, whether is quitting altogether, slowing down, or just have a healthier relationship with alcohol. Been almost a year and a...
For those lucky enough to get a decent lottery number; has anyone received their Idaho non-res tags in the mail yet? On website is says to allow roughly 10-days but not sure if that pertains to tags from the Dec 1st sale?
First off, congratulations to everyone who has kept (and keeping) sober and able to withstand the everyday pressures of drinking alcohol; no matter how long it's been. It is NOT easy, and the cards are stacked against us.
What a hell of year 2023 was for me and never in a million years...
Update:
Got ANOTHER hole in the same tire while out hunting. This time on top of the tread, which really pi$$ed me off. I am not happy with the Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Plugged it with 2 plugs and went on our way.
Took the tire to Discount Tire where I bought the tires today. They said...
Didn't read this whole thread but....
If someone's "honey hole" is so top secret and nobody knows about it, how would Onx delineate that as a point of interest and a hot spot over multiple users?
I do appreciate everyone's thoughts and responses. I will probably end up taking it in to hopefully get it permanently patched; eventually. It's not high on my priority list at the moment. I won't be pulling the trailer for another couple weeks and I'm confident with the plug on gravel roads...
They are E rated and will be looking at F rated next time.
FYI: Here's the tire I currently have on my truck, an F350.

These Nitto ATs were the first tire I've had where I got a flat and there was more than 10% tread. The other flats I've gotten over the years have been with tires that were due/overdue to be replaced. I ususally run mud terrains but they are expensive and don't last as long.
I'm looking at...
Fortunately, the hole was in between the tread in the middle of the tire. I pulled my 5th wheel on about 40 miles of dirt/rock roads then another 150+ miles on highway with no issues.
Thinking I'm good so just cancelled my appointment with Discount.
I do have a full-size spare, but the spare is mainly a basic road tire whereas the tires on my truck are AT terrains and much better tire. The spare does not match the tires on my truck.
