Can anyone identify this tool? Cleaning out my gun tools/parts, trying to organize stuff and ran across this tool. Can’t for the life of me remember what this is to. It just says “warning remove before firing”. Any ideas?
Identify this tool?
Yeah, I was thinking about just going that route as well. Just getting a thread protector until I’m finally able to move to a free state and buy a suppressor. My thoughts were, a linear brake could be good if I do take that quick unexpected shot and forget my ear pro. I know it won’t be great...
I’m building a dedicated Coyote gun (AR-15) in 22 ARC. I have an 18” barrel. I’m living in Commiefornia, so a suppressor is out of the question. Looking at a linear comp as an option (specifically the VSeven Helios-K). My other option would be a small brake (specifically the SRS TI Pro 2)...
I'm building a 6mm ARC AR15 primarily for hunting (coyote gun). I'm going with an 18" barrel, so I'd like a longer handguard. 17" is preferred. Currently, my top two are:
1. Geissele 16.5" MK18 Super Mod RailI (w/integrated Arca Swiss) Comes in at 18.4oz. (Don't mind the extra weight with the...
See, that's why I post these questions on here. The NXS line wasn't even on my radar. I've been looking at the ATACR and NX8's, but you're right, that NXS 2.5-10 looks like it checks the boxes (and NF gives mil discounts). The FOV is a little less than what I was looking for, but it should...
I'm not too concerned about which focal plane considering this will primarily be used for 300yds and in. I've really only used MOA, but not opposed to using MIL for this application considering I'd only be using it for wind under 300yds.
I decided I'm going to bring one of my AR15's to Colorado this year during Elk season to use as a Coyote gun. I need to get a proper scope on the AR for Coyote, and I think I have it narrowed down to one of the following:
- Leupold Mark 5HD 2-10x30 (Considering this one, because it seems like a...
I think I’m on the same page. I love this ZCO, it’s bullet proof, but the FOV on the Kahles seems unreal. I hate that both of them are 36oz, but that’s a moot point.
I currently own the ZCO 420 and I love it. My only wish is that it had a bit more reach. Now that this new Kahles K328i is out, It’s very tempting to change things up for a little more zoom. My only issue with the Kahles is that it’s only available in Mils (I’m a MOA guy). Does ANYONE out...
Going on an Axis deer hunt in a few weeks. My rifle is a 7PRC with a 20” barrel/muzzle brake. I’ll be using factory Hornady ammo, and can’t decide between the 175gr ELD-X or the 160gr CX (monolithic). Any good arguments for or against?
I currently hunt with a 7mm PRC, which has taken the place of my Sako 85 30-06 as my "do-it-all" rifle. I'm now looking at adding a dedicated 6.5mm deer rifle, and I'm having trouble deciding between the 6.5 CM vs the 6.5 PRC. Any thoughts on which one would be better suited in this scenario?
I have it dialed up in my online cart as we speak. Are you using the Tricer LP head as well? That’s my next dilemma. The Revic comes with the integrated ball head and the total weight is around 2.3lbs. From what I can gather, that’s a few ounces heavier than the tricer BC w/ the LP head. I need...
I'm deciding between the Tricer BC and the Revic Backpacker as well. I am still hoping someone will chime in who has experience with both of these specific tripods.. I will say, I've used the Revic Ball head, and it's very nice. Quick and easy to use and locks up tight (for a ball head).
Update: Decided to go with the ZCO420. It definitely lives up to the hype. Probably overkill for me, but I like overkill. Fits on this long action, but barely… thanks for the help, everyone.
Update to this conversation… I did end up going with the ZCO420, and it fits perfectly with these American Precision Arms Gen 2 Tru-Loc Scope Rings. I had to mount it as far back as it would go, but it turned out to be perfect on this long action. Hope this helps someone else in the future. Very...
