Looking at upgrading my case to the pelican vault v800 but want to know if I’ll have any issues flying with it. I spoke with United airlines and they said rifle cases are covered under their “sporting goods” description and will be charged as one of your standard checked bags. Anyone with this...
I’m 6’2 about 225. I ordered xl in both the pants and jacket. The pants don’t have quite as much room to layer but can still make them work over my kuiu attack pants just a little snug. For the price on clearance I don’t think you can go wrong with them. I’m happy with them.
I called United about that because my case is like 68LI in total and they said they consider it sporting equipment and not subject to the same oversized baggage fee. Atleast the customer service rep on the phone said that and it would only be $50.
Yea that’s what I was afraid of. I called United because overweight/oversized bags are $200 vs $50 for reg. They said as long as it’s under 50lb it falls under their sporting goods policy like skis and stuff and it’s just counted towards your regular checked bag fees. Atleast that’s what they...
This will be a non-stop flight with United. They said to use non tsa locks and I will make sure to have one for each hole. Do they ask you to come open it or how does that work with non tsa locks?
Which airline was that? I called United to verify and they said as long as it was under 50lb they considered it sporting goods and was the same as a checked bag. They also said to use non tsa locks so I am the only one who can open it.
Looking at flying out to Colorado on United with my rifle case and see conflicting info about how to pack the case. I spoke with United and they said it falls under “sporting goods” and will be charged reg checked bag fee if under 50lb. To save space I was going to remove foam and pack extra...
No the jacket does not. It’s about the only thing it is missing but for $100 it’s very nice quality. The pants do have side zips if you buy the set. Tried them for 5 minutes in the shower and was completely dry.
That’s with the hybrid Hunter? How’d it perform on shoulder and bone impact on the elk? That’s what I’ll be using if for and shots will all be under 500.
I’ve been looking at the 165 Bondstrike and the 160trophy bonded tip. But I have to order those online and I’d hate to pay out 60$ for a box that my rifle doesn’t like. I was able to get the hybrid Hunter for $35 a box and they were touching holes at $100. From what I’ve read they suggest trying...
Looking for real world experience on the 7mm rem mag 168gr Berger hybrid Hunter. Not asking for the Vld or hypothetical reason for or against. I’ve shot several different rounds and this one was the most accurate/consistent by far and I can get it locally.
Looking at picking up a Nemo moonlite elite for car camping and packing in for glassing/long sits. I like how light weight it is and felt it was more comfortable than helinox zero for the short test I did at rei. Has anyone tried one of these out yet?
