I’m also planning my first trip out west and got a 20 degree bag and was feeling good about it, kinda wish I hadn‘t read this thread because now I’m rethinking the whole thing.
Hope you find someone to hunt with. I finally got to a place where I have the time and finances to plan western hunts and started buying points last year but now I don’t know if I will ever catch the point creep.
