    Hand calls or electronic? Ecall, just turn it on and let it play. Hand calls same thing for at least 15 minutes, come up for air, then continue. Bears frequently approach slowly so either way, give it at least 20 minutes. Good luck.

    This rule has been in place for MANY years. Any commercial use of public land requires a permit, and that includes filming TV shows or movies. Personally I have no issue with the feds regulating commercial (for profit) activity in our forest.

    In Montana, Rabbits and squirrels (also coyote,badger,fox,coon,skunk) are unregulated. No season, no limits, no license.

    In my experience the scent goes away pretty quickly even though the spray continues to work for many hours. Or you could always just try and suffer through with a bug head net.
