Boil/ Simmer and then pressure wash is the easiest thing to do. Waiting for rotting is a long and stinky process, and this will also allow more of the fats to absorb into the skull which creates more of the yellow greasy hue as opposed to the whiter cleaner look. Last season I shot a buck...
Pressure washer should work. just be careful not to go to crazy with the pressure washer as it will blow small bones to pieces or cut through bone too. You can get hair style bleach from a salon supply store and it will bleach the skull white
It appears you have a bolt rifle with a 223 chamber and then firing 556 ammo which might have been the initial issue with over pressure of the first 3-400 rounds you said you fired through it which may have been depositing brass on the chamber walls. More can comment on if that may be a a...
I have not yet killed a sheep and I have wanted a Dall ever since I could remember. As i grew older I never thought I would ever be able to afford a hunt and I lost interest. Well last year a friend went to NWT and shot a respectable ram and showed me the pictures and I got to hold the horns...
I incorporate them in my leg day routine with a weighted pack as well as holding dumbbells. I have some lower leg injury/ muscle degeneration maybe and I noticed walking downhill hurt my lower legs the worst so I do a step up and then step down turn around and do it over. It seems to have...
I recently purchased a CZ 457 installed a 30 MOA rail and installed an ARKEN scope EPL 4 6-24 x 50 FFP and have been able to hit a small steel popper at 300 yards and it also is able to focus down to 50 yards for the KYL rack. Just an FYI with my experience
Pickup a reloading manual and some of them have some step by step process however it will be pretty generalized. Avery Outdoors did a good podcast with step by step process and Erik Cortina has some good videos and podcast. There are several YouTube videos that go over this as well and one...
If I am not carrying a rifle during season its definitely nice to have a handgun. While deer scouting last year my dad and I bumped a black bear cub about 30 yards. Didn't see momma but as soon as I seen the cub I was concerned she would be close and glad I had a pistol for backup. We backed...
Awesome hunt. I was in NM last season elk hunting and came across two of them which was unexpected. I only watched for a minute before they were gone and never to be seen again.
I have a load for 69 gr Hammers that are at 3,011 with virgin brass shot in a AI chamber. 2nd Fire shooting 69 TMK I am at 3,121. Both loads are with Varget near MAX load. Both loads are awesome.
Little over and hour of legs yesterday, lunges, single leg squats, step ups with weighted pack, barbell squats
