    Nothing new to add, But I had same experience with 6.5 prc 143g eld-x. Poor penetration and bullets fragmenting if it even nicks a bone. Wasn’t impressed buts it’s all I found at the time for rounds as I’m not a reloaded. Biggest lesson I learned is, Start reloading!

    How far can elk see?

    I don’t know how far they can see but I know it’s much farther then I can. Several times I’ve glassed elk and they are looking straight back at me when I couldn’t see them with the naked eye. And I think they’ll hear you way before they see you if your talking and being loud.

    CVA Accura LRX or Paramount Pro

    No experience with the paramount pro but my Lrx shoots great! 100gr pyrodex select and a 320 grain maxxiball round and I was getting 6” groups at 100 yards with open sights and I’m no sniper so that’s plenty accurate for me. I have the northwest edition lrx since I live in Idaho.
