Just like the title says, it's a 4-16x44 zmoa-2 safe queen. It took a couple trips to the range to zero and work on some load development, it's never been in the field. $775 tyd zelle or venmo preferred, I will take PayPal F&F or add 3.5% to cover their fees. I'll let some pictures do the rest...
Well, you have her looking like a million bucks now. How do you like that seadek? Do you know anyone that's had it for a few years? I'm curious as to how it will hold up. I'll be moving to Hawaii next month for a three year visit and you might have just convinced me to get back into the market.
Those red grouper and that monster mangrove is where its at, as far as dinner is concerned. What hull/year is that, one heck of a back deck you have on it!
I'm jealous of that fish box as well, to be able to throw 6 donkey aj's into it and not be cramped for space is saying something.
There are no laws for wonton waste on exotic animals in Texas. You can pile them up and the vultures, yotes and pigs will have them cleaned up in short order. We eat them, but not a lot of people do. The meat is very mild and not gamey at all, it can be extremely tough with the older animals...
I told myself I'd never shoot another animal with a 223 after the complete failure of a bullet using factory 55 grain GECO ballistic tip on a small 50 pound roe deer. After seeing some of the reports here I figured I'd give the 77tmk a go on a pig and as you can see it worked on this 95+- pound...
Congrats! I ran around on the Eglin range for three years without ever connecting. Always seemed to run into more bears then deer. I probably should have been able to pull a deer out of Florida but I guess I spent the majority of my time chasing Grouper, Snapper, Cobia, and Tarpon.
I wouldn't get too caught up on needing an accubond. If thats what you want I get it, I really like them too, but I have also shot a pile of critters with the standard 7mm Nosler ballistic tips and they hold together very well for a cup and core (much better then any Hornady ELD or SST).
CDS-ZL2 with side focus. CDS custom dial is unused. 30mm tube. product #171715 if you need more details.
This is a used scope with very slight ring marks. I tried to get good pictures of them but it was hard to get a good picture of the marks even in good sun light.
$825 TYD. Zelle...
Great hunt and great story, thank you for sharing. I'm glad you connected with your trophy but more importantly I hope you were able to reignite your passion. I have been lucky in the fact that I've been able to take my fair share of Aoudad, if you shoot them in the crease you shot them too...
If I didn't have a 1-4 I'd have a 2-10. I've even contemplated getting a second set of EAW rings with a 2-10 mounted in them. That way I'd be able to switch out scopes without having to zero anything, just pick the best scope for that particular hunt.
Those Blaser saddle mounts are something else. I've played with several and they always return to zero 100% of the time not to mention how easy they are to take off and put back on.
