Of the two PRCs I have they both had clicker issues (bergara squared crest and mauser m18). After one firing with lapua brass I had major issues at well below pressure. I did an aw2 hand ream and it solved all issues and they still shoot great. I will never own any lrc cartridges without doing...
After getting hands in experience with a bear over 500lbs this past season, Im not much on my 6.5prc for bears. At least not BIG bears like that, for the average 200lb or less it's not much of a problem but those big fat fatties are a different creature. Shooting close I would do a terminal...
100% he's just good at marketing and producing clickbait videos that the general audience thinks are entertaining. The "influencer" BS is far and wide in the hunting industry and most of the time they aren't capable themselves. No idea why people watch that channel and think it's anything more...
If you're trying to zero at 26yds and be ethical out to anything near 300yds or past you need to reconsider. Go out and shoot each and see what is best from your rifle. Do a proper 100/200 yard zero and both will kill clean with good placement within the velocity range they are designed to...
Scirocco are awesome bullets. We took a legit 525lb black bear with a 300wm and 180s and it did really well in it. So the 130s should be a great choice on deer. Bonded and thicker jacket than other bonded choices like accubonds
Man idk what butcher you are talking to but bears eating acorns are absolutely amazing. That's all we kill in the Appalachians and i have never had better meat. Maybe your butcher isn't much of a butcher lol. Meat care is critical as with any meat, if people cared for it properly there's zero...
N565 in lapua brass is working very well for me. 20in barrel pushing 147s righ at 2900fps. The old berger data had a max of around 62 gr, if you get anywhere near 60grs the case capacity gets FULL. I have developed clickers after a couple reloads so aw2 on the way to fix it.
Use the 139s, always seem to shoot better and can push them faster. The speed more than makes up for the minimal BC compared to the 145s. Just seems like the 139s are always hammers
Gamekings have significantly thicker jackets compared to motlst other common cup and core bullets (eldx, eldm, bergers, etc.) There was a thread somewhere with images of a bunch of different bullets cut in half and showed this well.
I have used them on whitetails a lot from a 308 and 7rm. I...
I have packed several out in a draw string quarter bag, have also rolled them up in the sheet I use to lay meat on while butchering. I have never thought I needed more space for the hide with head on they have worked great. For the sheet I typically use a zip tie to clamp it down and it's solid...
180 eldm over retumbo, n565, or n570 are all really good out of my 7rm. Getting 2975-3050 depending on powder charge and type. Currently running 2975 with 70gr of retumbo in adg brass with cci250s
I don't think you can go wrong with a seekins, I have loved my PH2 7rm and the customer service is superb. I was sent an incorrect color on mine europtic wouldn't fix the issue so I called seekins directly and they cerakoted and painted my stock no questions asked for free.
For sure, broadheads can be strange. I go as far to number arrows and broadheads that fly true and that arrow never changes after that. For whatever reasons I have had times where one head would be a dart then another of the same head on the same arrow is off a tad. They aren't rifles lol
Shoot bare shafts through paper at like 10ft then 30ft. If true, fletch and broadheads should be almost done flight wise. Fine tune and run it. Fixed blades require you to put some effort in to perfect flight in most cases.
