Skull turns dark/ black euro mount issue

I don’t even know what Golden Corral is lol. Doesn’t maceration take well over 3 days? Can I rinse and simmer from here with good results?

Skull turns dark/ black euro mount issue

I’m in day 3 of macerating my first deer I’ve harvested. Small cooler, aquarium heaters. Detached garage, 1/4 acre, and neighbors all around. Dang she’s stanky! I’m panicking about what to do with the water now 🤣 my wife is about to castrate me, we have in-laws and family coming for Thanksgiving...

    Youth Compound Bow

Hi guys, 8.5 and 6.5 year olds. They have expressed interest in compound bows a lot recently. I had gotten my oldest a Baer youth bow a couple years back he enjoyed but it had been drawn and released by the youngest a few too many times and it’s not in service anymore. Looking for a solid...

Where do you consider midcoast? Got it out off route 9. Monsters out there where I hunt but I took first opportunity today given kids and wife etc lol. I hit it at about 40 yards. Sprinted right at me darted into pine thicket and died after about a 20 yard run

This was my 8 yo first time ever pulling the trigger on a gun after sighted in with 73 at 100yd he was shooting 55 wolf gold at 50 so his POI expected. I think it’s a great platform and effective

Not for me at this point. I have one rifle and it’s 5.56 and had a clean lung shot on a 135# deer and went down without issues. Not looking to buy “moar rifle” at this point given my results and quick death of my harvest. Clearly it’s better enough

    Sub-$400 scope for deer

My hunting will be woods / thicker brush in Maine. Low light am and pm often. I was looking at meopta optika 2-10 and zeiss 2-10 used but concerned about reticle visibility where I will be. Any input?

    Sub-$400 scope for deer

I’m in the same boat. 556 within 200 yards. Around $500. Most everything recommended OOS and seem to be SFP. From my reading I would think I would want FFP?

Are you able to help point me in that direction? I tried searching but only came across the “calling form out” thread. I bought 200 of 73 eldm to gear up for November but I would also like to continue reading on this subject. I see he has recommended 73 here and didn’t mention aac. I bet AAC...

Isn’t that knowingly giving up a lot of meat? And with a neck shot is there higher risk of error? Not hitting the trachea, artery, or spine and just a large chunk of flesh?

Great, thanks. A lot of guys around here say hit the shoulder with 06 or 308 but I’ve always wondered why they wouldn’t just go for vital shot?
