Kenetrek Mountain Guides. I basically live in mine. Work and play. They fit my feet like a glove right out of the box. I keep a pair of gaiters at all times.
I may pick up some Asolo’s to try. I have some buddies that like them.
I have a set of Frogg Toggs I use for work. Can’t remember the model or what not. It wasn’t their cheap stuff. It’s pretty tough and repels water well. Pretty breathable as well.
I’ve had my set for 3 years. Haven’t failed me yet.
I have a Savage 110 Ultralight. It’s a great rifle. Got mine to beat up hunting in the mountains instead of ruining my wood stocked rifles.
My caliber is 28 Nosler. It’s a great round for me and what I hunt. Lots of factory loads out there.
I handload, and the load I settled on pushes a...
This is a timely thread. I’m needing new arrows as well. Leaning towards the RIP SS. Shooting 81 pounds now. 29 1/4” draw. Gonna go with 250 spine.
I was gonna run the RIP TKO’s, but with my draw weight/length, I can send a heavier arrow with gobs of energy and still have respectable...
Neighbors may call the cops on you for having a scary assault bike…..
Any time I want to be left alone at home, I break out the calls. Wife and kids go shopping.
I just checked the mod screws on mine(Alpha X 30). One was way loose. Snugged it back down.
Definitely gonna locktite these and keep a good eye one them.
That sucks. Did your shop say if this is something to watch for in the future?
How many have they had do this? Did the mod screw back out at all? Or the screw just sheared off?
I mean, if the money is burning a hole in your pocket, find a Ruger No1 in 25-06.
Not many things portray confidence like hunting with a single shot rifle. (As long as you’re proficient). Haha.
It seemed rugged enough when I handled one at the pro shop. Of course, it was right after I got my Pelican. Had I not ordered the 1745, I probably would have walked out with that SKB.
As far as Pelican, the Air cases are definitely lighter than their Vault series.
I have the Hoyt Alpha X 30. Was shooting 29” draw, but with Hoyt’s new cams, I went to 29 1/4”. Much more comfortable.
Personally, I like short bows for my style of hunting.
Glad you recovered. Dehydration ain’t no joke.
When I hit the 3D range, I carry a Nalgene or insulated water bottle carabinered to on of my belt loops. It’s a giant pain in the ass…..swings around, pulls my pants down….BUT….thats what reminds me it’s there. And why I have it. The more I...
Agree on shot placement being crucial. And on mechanicals opening holes you could throw a baseball through. I will likely use one this year on something.
Actually, I carry both types of heads in my quiver. Last year was a couple Grim Reapers, couple Montecs and a judo. This year I have a...
