I like it a lot. It could benefit from a shorter trigger reach but even my 10yo has no issues shooting it well due to the super low recoil. I do have to remind him to use proper trigger finger position though. For the price, it really can't be beat.
I did have it bedded. it definitely doesn't...
I am prepared to watch other's be disappointed.
SWFA has totally lost my trust for sure. It would take a lot for me to purchase something from them again to use on a rifle I actually hunt with knowing that it may end up virtually irreplaceable if damaged.
Yes. Do it. Factory ELD-M is the same price as ELD-M for 223. This Howa Mini in 6 ARC has become my go to for everything here in Montana. Yes, everything.
Put a VA5 on the Summit. I like the summit legs actually. Light and quick to use. They work great with a Sirui VA-5. I had ZERO issues with that setup confidently and securely holding my Kowa 77 before I bought a heavier tripod. Worked fantastic.
Also, upgrade your binos. The first step is...
If you are hunting legally then anyone that objects to an inanimate object you are carrying to hunt with should get laughed at.
If you care (you shouldn't) get a rifle with a folding stock and put it in a pack.
I had an 8 point do that to me yesterday in my backyard. He had been guarding a hot doe in the fence all day and I needed them to get out so I could let my dogs out.
I stomped back and snorted at him and he got pretty confused. LOL.
If a Mathews with a not broken integrated rest mounted to center shot needs more than a 2" horizontal tear fixed there is most likely something else wrong with the bow setup entirely IMHO or the archer needs to fix his form and learn to shoot correctly and not torque the bow. I haven't seen a...
This isn't just my kid. It's everyone I teach.
I find that time spent going through the correct positions, the why's, the what not to do, showing what happens in poor positions and THEN what a proper position does, then a couple of dry fires, helps people put impacts on target from the...
I have my 30-30 sighted in with Leverevolution. Anyone have feedback for that? I've never put one through an animal so have zero real world experience.
What's the excuse for the guys using lead sleds?
My 10yo that's hardly ever shot can hold a decent zero. Every single person I have brought new to the range can. These people I am watching are on benches, with front and rear support. They aren't shooting by braille. These are guys that call...
Remember those big fat pencils we all had when we were kids. Probably got them from the book fair. If you use that to measure, ALL Barnes pencil through. ;)
This right here is my only gripe. Another maybe 3 inches total would make it 100% usable sitting. Otherwise I love mine. When I took it out to shoot one day my son's eyes popped out at how fast it was to attach/detach and be ready.
That's the real deal. How many times are you at the range watching someone chase single bullet holes around the target attempting to sight in?
Then you fire 11 shots pretty quickly and pack your stuff up and they look at you crazy asking "are you done already?"
Catch up bro. I didn't realize they got rid of the Prima, Image, and that long DL bow.
I personally think dumping the Image(or not putting the low poundage limbs on the 29.5) was dumb BTW. Normal draw length people shooting lower poundage are probably going to be put off by a 27.75" ATA. I...
I will say that a Howa mini is definitely the cheapest way to get a light rifle by far.
My Mini 6ARC in a Stockys VG2 is 5 pounds 1 ounce and I have less than $800 in it I think bare rifle.
I would bet the stated action weight of 10.2 is stripped. So no bolt nor trigger. Add those two and you are right over 21 ounces. Ridiculously light for something that you can buy off the shelf with a barrel for like $400.
