does anyone know on these el range ta LRFs if the ballistic data is angle compensated? I know it has a compass and angle finder. I know it can display the up or down angle and the "corrected" shooting distance (all of which can be displayed), but is the ballistic info returned/calculated angle...
Honestly. I’d go with a bigger pack. Either the 6900 or 7900 from SG. Or the 7000 or 7800 from kuiu. 8 days is a lot of food. And Idaho in oct, we’ll you could run into anything wx wise. So you’ll have rain gear, puffy jacket/pants. Plus your camping gear and more likely a 15 deg (or lower) bag...
Thanks. And you also wear a Med kenaa? Mine is a large and it fits great. If the med cirque is tighter than the med kenai, that might be to tight. Might try the large. Thanks for the info
How is the general sizing compared to other “normal” clothes for the SG? I normally wear a med jacket (5’8” 175 lbs 41” chest 32” waist). I wear a large kenai and axis (and other kuiu jackets. 34” short kuiu pants. Was looking at the SG Cirque as a warmer options in real late hunts or...
No idea who that is. And frankly don’t care
Just don’t like bad info being spread about stuff that actually works and has proven to work because one guy had one “fail”. Who knows, half the time that happens with a “drop test” is because of the rings/mount or other mounting issues.
I’ve also...
LOL. so one guy? that thread has like 2 replies. hardly "significant" problems holding zero. again, i personally know dozens of guys running them one tons of rifles. like i said, i own two.
thousands upon thousands of rounds. rifles dropped, slammed into barricades, everything. I actually...
What? not sure where you are getting that info from. I personally have two mk5 5-25. I shoot one on my 300 PRC and one has bounced around on mult PRS rifles. That scope has won so many competitions in PRS its not funny. Its been beaten up, banged around and shot without issues by tons, including...
I like to shoot off my tripod. The two vets carbon tripods are nice, along with RRS. they are a bit heavier than the slik, but will hold a lot more weight. so just depends on what you are wanting it for. if its just for straight optics, some of the smaller ones are pretty nice.
also, do you...
I would look at a vortex razor lhr 4.5-22. try picking up one used. they are in the 11-1200 dollar range then. good reticle. light enough.
if you want to go a little heavier, the leupold mk5 5-25 or 3.6-18 are really solid choices as well.
I shoot a LOT of PRS so i get spoiled with optics. I...
great. i must have read that wrong. They make alum rivnuts, and zinc coated steel, and SS. I use them all the time on custom car stuff and other projects. good to know. thats a good solution. I was actually thinking i might try the threaded rod, put on a nylock nut, then bend the end in a L...
Sorry to bring this old post back up. Been looking at the seek u turn stoves myself. Really like the rivnut idea. Any issues with the alum rivnuts? Now that it’s been some time? Or would stainless steel be better? Also, the threaded alum tubes are cool, but do you have any issues with it sinking...
