I am curious as to how many have actually done it and don't consider it hunting.
I fish with a rod and reel and consider it hunting when I get in the water with a spear gun. A few trips to the Caribbean for catch and release bonefish/tarpon/permit was fun but getting in the water with a spear...
My better half drew a cow moose tag this year, for Colorado. Which makes me a guide come October 1.
I had an opportunity to help a friend break down a smaller bull a few years back but have never laid hands on a cow. How much boned out meat will an average Shiras cow yield?
I would appreciate...
You make a good point that I agree with 100%.
At this point, my gear is what it is - bought and paid for with weight being considered and budget maxed out. Now I spend the last 90 days or so before a hunt trying to knock off 5-10 pounds from around my waist and not skipping any training.
I can't help with your question but had to mention that I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw the profile of their bag. The frame looks to be very well thought out and designed but the narrowish and taller profile you mention, concerning the bag, doesn't look quite right to my eye...

No 11 cap, Triple7 loose powder, veggie fiber wad, 460 grain lead bullet from The Bull Shop. 80 grains measured by VOLUME, give or take, has been a good performer in my Knight MK85 and White rifles.
Sabotloader was kind enough to lend his thoughts and remarkable experience when I was climbing...
L5-S1 fusion just over two years ago. My surgery was done in December and I was packing my bull out of the woods the following October. I was pretty careful not to push too hard or fast when I was cleared for rehab as I certainly didn't want any setbacks or injury.
I had an interesting event...
I used 3M Marine adhesive sealant 5200 for a rand reinforcement on new Tibets.. It has held up remarkably well but that stuff takes days to fully cure.
I will mention these since they haven't been suggested...

I have been using these for years and have them in all my boots. I initially took the insoles out of a pair of Meindl boots that I eventually wore out and...
Congratulations on a nice 5x5!
As you are now aware, OTC hunting in CO is as much about finding the animals as it is managing the competition. You already acknowledged the lesson you learned about giving away information and I believe that tactic will serve you well in the future. I for one...
