As an eastern whitetail hunter, packing out means driving the ATV up to a field dressed deer, loading it up, driving it to the truck, and transferring it to the truck bed. That said, when that's all done, I'm digging around for an ice cold Busch light!

It's a good way to pass slow time in the stand by brushing up on ranging skills. I'll pick a target tree, etc., guess the range, and then check with the rangefinder.
Most of my hunting anymore is done in preset ladder stands or ground blinds. I walk in with the minimal amount of clothes on and the rest on/in my pack. Finish dressing in the blind or at the base of the stand.
Me, my wife, and our 10 year old daughter typically go through 3 - 4 whitetails, a wild turkey, and a number of geese and ducks every year. We don't buy too much red meat other than an occasional brisket for the smoker or something like that.
We usually don't get any real snow until after the season (end of January) although I'm a weather watcher by nature so I will place a 2x4 under the roof hub at times. I won't lie; I've lost a few to snow collapse over the years.
