Concerned more with hunting and you have great points. Most ranges in FL make it difficult to not use the bench per rules. I need to do more sitting and leaning against tree. My guess is my Harris bipod is worthless with grass etc, so may remove for hunt and just use and practice on pack.
The hardest thing - maybe not the hardest - but finding a solid company name is tough so figured maybe the friendly folks at rokslide may have good ideas they would be willing to share. No dirty names will be considered, but it is fun thinking of them!
A few I like but are already taken...
On an elk hunt, how often do 2 different shooters together shoot the same elk?
Say shooter 1 hits the elk but doesn’t take it down and it’s off to the races. Can shooter 2 shoot it? If so, I assume only 1 tag gets punched.
Is this illegal, unethical, frowned upon, or happen all the time?
Funny thing is the default settings map to what i shoot at 300 yards but want to learn more about 300+. Is the bullet speed the same as muzzle velocity on strelok?
i changed a few basic things and in the order that helped
1 the table at range seemed a bit wobbly lean back and the bench shifts. Low and behold they had wooden supports you could ask for to support bench
2 bag under the butt of rifle
3 new timney elite hunter trigger
Shot 3 groups of 3...
Anyone have one I can borrow? :) just replaced my rem 700 trigger with timney elite hunter trigger and feel it’s too light, but not sure how to check. Hate to pay 30 dollars to use once! Any other ideas are welcome!
I didn’t take it that way at all. Just stated this as I read a lot and listen to shooting podcasts etc. Getting into the weeds via this discussion won’t confuse me.
