    Port Strike

I too would disagree if I had a great paying job with virtually unlimited protections and no worry from being fired or replaced by technology regardless of how good or bad of a job I did. I grew up in a union family (General Electric). I know Unions well. For the record, I hope you folks can...

IMHO this is going to be a VERY big deal. I see dock automation as the only viable path forward.

    A nation of wimps?

I think back just 25 years and I remember us boys doing things that kids now a days would never do or simply can't do. The crowd I hung around was inherently tough. Sadly, some of us died either proving it or trying to prove it. Makes me smile when I see men actually teaching their sons how to...

    Big game wound/recovery ratio

I have only lost 2 big game animals in my 28 years of bowhunting that I am sure died. 1 was a bull Elk (never found him but he for sure didn't make it) 1 was a whitetail doe (found her the next day and the coyotes had stripped every piece of meat off of her) Both were gut shot, and I am super...

Hunting in the 1980s and 90s

Archery hunting in PA in the 90's was freaking awesome. Crossbows were not legal and there were lots of deer. I wish I had been a bit older so I could have elk hunted with a bow in Colorado in the 90's for Elk. Some of those OTC units were on fire back then with good bulls. I caught the tail...

    Dads of Rokslide

#1. Do NOT scream at your kids. Worst part of my life are the memories of my dad SCREAMING at me. I remember it like it was yesterday 30+ years later. I told myself I would never scream at my kids. Sure, I bitch a little bit, but I do it in a normal voice. They may be hard at understanding...

    Advice getting started on squirrel

Don’t rule out calling. Thats a ton of fun. Like people on the internet, if you say the right (or wrong) thing to them, they can’t keep their mouth shut. Which ultimately gives away their position….. https://a.co/d/0TzPGaD

Go when and where there is snow. Take a few bottles of water and $50 bill for a ride back to your truck at the end of the day. Get on that track and don’t stop until the bear is dead.
