There are several different ways/places to stuff your day stuff, but I will be running my kill kit and emergency shelter and msr stove in the bottom of the main bag, my puffy and first aid pull out in a side pocket, and food for the day in the easy access pocket of the lid. It then pretty much...
The number one reason I wanted this pack were the side pockets and lid providing a built-in ability to organize. I moved from a Mystery Ranch Metcalf to a Pintler for similar reasons, and this new 44mag is dead center between those in my opinion- you still have a plenty large main bag (that my 3...
This bag has everything I wanted. Absolutely love it. Cancelled a muskeg order when this came out, glad I did. There is a tarptent double rainbow in the left pocket and a bugle tube (lots of room to spare) in the right.
Looking to pick up a Cimarron, preferably double-doored (so the normal Cimarron) but not screened doors, with stove jack. I also am looking for a Cimarron half nest to use in it.
I am able to do it between my longbow and recurve (both are within 2 lbs at my draw length), BUT- a bare shaft from the longbow reveals the feathers are the only thing allowing it. Once you get far enough into this, you’ll want/demand that perfect flight from each bow, which likely means a...
I think the concern is more that a huge chunk of the voting public here are city dwellers with little to no context of the backcountry, ecosystems, and what wolves have done elsewhere. Less dems vs reps than hunting vs anti. Thus far my sense is that people are definitely open to dialogue and...
Yea it was Eastman’s. They have it under the kifarucast library as well I think. Aron nailed it- Denver and Boulder control the vote here. God help us.
I’m sure that many of us try not to force hunting or hunting related topics into conversations with non-hunters, but we need to here. We need their votes. I have been making an effort since the announcement to do just that and people are very receptive to the logic if you can hold back your...
It stretches enough to easily fit a merino 120 or 140 under it for that weird middle ground in September where you need just a bit more but are on the move.
I have the Sitka and freaking love it. I may smell like a** after 6 days, but it doesn’t! For reference, I do also own a 150 merino top and love it for different reasons. They both go with me in September.
Make sure you wear the same sock system you intend to hunt in when you go to try on. And I personally am not afraid to take a pack with some weight. Scheels is great because they have lots of stairs and square footage to roam around.
