No way contend with Conquest HD, unless I have a bad sample of the HDX, which is possible, or maybe I am more of an optics snob than some others who keep praising the HDX. Don't get me wrong, the HDX is great for its purpose, I plan to keep mine as I do find it useful for its niche. However...
Mint like new condition. Purchased this year in July, I'm the original owner. Light use birding, never took hunting. I know of only 1 store that still has one or two SLC 8x42 new for sale selling for $1799 plus tax and shipping.
Mine is a great sample without the sticking focuser like some...
"Should" i agree, but the guy saying his brother said kowa was much better said himself he didn't know which meopta. Some people think the brand is all that matters and literally don't realize different models have major differences.
Maybe free of CA looking at the moon, but... I also have the HDX and I can confirm they are not free of CA in daytime use under certain lighting conditions. Better control in center of image, but imo poor control outside of center, at least in my sample.

$150 PayPal F&F. OK with G&S if buyer pays fees.
I'll cover shipping and insurance.
I'm fairly new here, but have been active on BirdForum for years and sold there in the past. User name w.travis there too. Have an SLC 8x42 listed in the classifieds there.
Thanks
This is a new bin that Sightmark sent me after sending my used ones in under warranty. Also, all new accessories- ocular and objective lens covers, neck strap, chest harness, case with zipper pocket, micro fiber, and box.
Bright image with a very generous field of view 477ft / 1000 yards...
Nice looking plot. Habit improvement/management is a process. Worth the effort and time, but patience is a must. I'd focus on native food sources for all seasons and cover.
Which Razors? HD or UHD? what magnification and objective size? I have the 16x HDX. I find the optical quality close to but slightly below Viper 12x50.
Good review, was surprised he felt it performed better optically than the Raptor. Good to know there is a roof prism option to compete with the $100 porros like raptor, Leopold Yosemite, and the Kowa YFII.
I have the Kowa YFII 6x30 and 8x30. I feel they are both optically very good much...
Not really, the HDX is compact and light only around 20oz. The Canon IS are larger and heavier.
I have the HDX 16x42 (newest version in FDE)
I would agree with others who mentioned premium glass on a tripod will give you a better image. But without a tripod, the IS really is pretty good...
