They are the toughest combo I’ve ever tested. A buddy who shoots thousands of arrows into Bison Bones and has tested almost every arrow available turned me into it. It’s an Easton Hexx 330 with the 75 gr brass insert and a 6-7” aluminum shaft as a footer. I’ve shot those into cinder blocks and...
I just uploaded the third and final segment of my Iron Will Broadhead Tests. The First Part was an explanation of the unique features of the head. The Second Part was long range testing, out to 100 yards.
In this Third Part, I shoot it through a variety of mediums to test the penetration, edge...
I decided to do a three part series of video reviews of this head. This is Part 1: An Examination of its unique features. Part 2 is the Very Long Range Testing vid I posted the other day. Part 3 is coming soon and is a Penetration and Durability test.

Finally got some good weather here in CO and was able to do some long range testing of the Iron Will Broadheads. Check out the short video:

I just started testing them yesterday. I did some longer range shooting and they were grouping well out at 100 yds. Very impressive. More testing on the way.

Yeah, Killzones are tough. But then again, the blades never really hit the steel plate, cause the ferrule tip is so long. I've killed quite a bit of animals with them, and am always impressed with their durability but not with their penetration. But with your draw length, you can shoot them...
Since I had this plate already set up for another test, I decided to shoot 6 other heads into it and see how they faired. I know we don't hunt steel, but it is a good test to see the durability of the heads and blades. I've had hard bone bend a head even more than steel flat bar at times.
The...
I already had this 16 gauge steel plate set up for some fixed blade testing and thought I'd see how some of my favorite mechs held up to it. Check it out:

Yeah, I’ve tested them...and a lot of single bevel heads. You can check out my video reviews on my YouTube Channel: Lusk Archery Adventures. Link is in my bio. The Cutthroats are better than most single bevels. Bishop Archery makes the best...and they do cost accordingly. But Cutthroats are a...
Yeah, I’d be concerned about those things as well. Is he the shop owner? Is there another tech guy there? How far is the next closest bow shop? I would definitely ask them to give you the correct spined arrows, at no cost.

Sounds a bit suspect, for sure. Everyone makes mistakes though. The arrows should be the same spine though—if that is the correct spine for you. Confirm the correct spine for your draw weight and arrow length. Then if the 300s are the correct ones, ask them replace the ones they gave you with...
Thank you1 This one was with the Bishop Holy Trinity. I wanted a head that I was confident could penetrate through all that thick hair and bone if needed. It sure did the job.
A few weeks ago, I got a call from CO Parks & Wildlife, informing me someone had returned a goat tag and that I was next on the list. I only had a short time to prepare, but did as well as I could. A buddy here on Rokslide helped me a lot and connected me with another guy who had just hunted my...
I just got a tag for 4th season Mt Goat here in CO--Unit G7 (Gray's and Torrey's area). Someone returned theirs and I was next one the list. The tag just came in the mail yesterday :) The season starts next Monday. I've scouted a few places and found one herd of 20, but I am needing more help...
I’m not exactly sure what’s going on there. Paper tuning only shows so much; Bare shaft tuning will show a lot more. You’re changing your FOC a fair amount with those two set ups. But as for your question, both choices are good ones—heavier arrow with ST or lighter with Exodus. What are you...
