I have a woodsman but I would go with the reckoning if I was going to do it again for the fact that it packs just a small for day hunts, has the full zipper up into the snow collar and also has the side pockets. The side pockets is what I miss most on the woodsman since it it would be nice to...
I agree it seems like a long shot. It is not reassuring with the $30 car tab initiative that just passed and now Seattle and king county are suing the state over it. Makes me really feel like my vote matters.
yes you can mount a 22 mag on a 26” frame, you will just have a gap at the bottom of the frame. My woodsman is similar and on my 26” frame I just use the space at the bottom for a roll top pod.
I forgot to mention the Wa/Seattle area in my comment but like Clark said and your links it is crazy here. Subway for instance is about $5 more in Seattle vs where I live because of the $15 min wage. I know Dicks burgers in Seattle pays $17.75 starting out where when I started my...
It’s very interesting reading this thread. I never would have thought after paying for the hunt that I should tip. I hate tipping at restaurants just because people expect it now and I don’t eat out often but can’t remember the last time I had such great service that I thought I should tip...
I have a promaster 525xc with a benro head and the outdoorsman tall adapter and have no issues and it’s quite a bit cheaper option. If I was going to use just binos and no spotter I would look at the outdoorsman pistol grip and panner but that’s a lot of coin when my benro head works just fine.
when I got my forester it had a bunch of stickers on it and I just kept them on since they crack me up and it’s just a beater commuter car that I have taken hunting some times. I have never been harassed but it blends into Seattle when I go to work pretty well.
I have multiple bags and frames and tons of accessories, every time I open my gear closet I think of selling some of the Kifaru stuff I don’t use much. I have a few items I have never used just hanging out. All my stuff has been bought used and some I didn’t need but it was priced so good I...
yes, I have only ever used it on a pair of Solomon’s g5 quest that leaked but they just asked why I was returning them and took less than a minute for a return.
yes Rei has a 1 year warranty so you could buy boots and return them within a year and get a refund or a new pair. After returning you could also buy them back at one of there garage sales for a huge discount. I believe the 1 year warranty goes for everything besides electronics.
Me and two of my buddies share points for everything from trail cams to hunting areas both in and out of state. We don’t live super close and with everyone’s busy schedule it’s hard to meet up to plan out of state hunts so we use texts and dropping pins for areas to E-scout for out of state...
I like 8” boots that are waterproof and around 200g insulation.
1 thing I would like to have in a boot is the ability to have them resoled, when you drop 400-500 on boots it’s nice to be able to keep the boots going when the tread gets low as long as you take care of the boot leather.
I have a Cimarron and live it but have been looking at getting a redcliff or 6 man so I can change while standing vs hunched over and I am only 5’ 10” so that is something to think about too with the sawtooth having more head room at the front pole.
I have both a 26” and 24” frame and have also used the medium roll top pod to fill the void at the bottom of the bag for my sleeping bag and it fits great. Unfortunately kifaru doesn’t make the roll top pods anymore.
I have mine set up with a gen 2 claymore as a lid and a Sherman pocket on the bottom( use to use a grab it). I also have a medium belt pouch on the fold over snow collar and one on the belt with a nalgene and Fhf rino pocket.
